Dr. Stephen Sanders is a husband, father, and board-certified family medicine physician who helps men dominate life with purpose, strength, and energy. With more than 15 years of leadership in clinical medicine, consulting, and entrepreneurship, he leads Whole Men’s Health, a precision men’s health and performance clinic specializing in testosterone optimization, hormone therapy, longevity medicine, and peak vitality.
His passion for men’s health is personal. In his late 30s, Dr. Sanders battled intense fatigue, brain fog, and declining energy, until he rebuilt his own health through hormone optimization, nutrition, and performance medicine. That transformation revealed a truth he now teaches every day: men often push through symptoms until they crash.
What began as his personal recovery became a professional mission to help men reclaim strength, focus, and purpose; to lead powerfully at home, at work, and in life. Dr. Sanders earned his MD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, his MPH in Health Policy and Management from Emory University, and his BA in History and Chemistry from the University of Alabama. He provides nationwide medical oversight to a team of clinicians delivering personalized, physician-guided men’s health care.
A true believer in practicing what he preaches, Dr. Sanders lives men’s health daily, integrating fitness, faith, family, and discipline into his own life. Outside of medicine, he’s a fitness enthusiast, mountain adventurer, and lifelong learner who embodies the balance of physical strength, mental resilience, and spiritual grounding he teaches his patients.

Today we’re releasing a new episode from a brand new series called the Boundless Body Radio Heritage Series! I wanted to do something extra special to celebrate 1,000 podcast episodes recorded here at Boundless Body Radio, a milestone that we hit on June 24, 2026!
These episodes are actually not new, although they might be new to you! When we first got started back in October, 2020, I was so fortunate that so many incredible people said "YES" to being hosted on the show, however, we didn’t have very many listeners at the time!
Today, we get thousands of downloads every single month, and are usually included in the top 150 Fitness and Nutrition Podcasts on the Apple Podcast charts!
To honor our amazing guests, I will be selecting one of those original episodes and posting them here on for this special series!
As I was going through these episodes again, I remembered how valuable these conversations actually were. it was really striking how much the information these experts have shared has born out to be even more accurate several years later.
The audio quality of a show was not as good back then as it is now, but I still really hope you enjoy these episodes, and find them relevant and helpful to you today!
Cheers, thanks as always for listening, and I really hope you enjoy this episode of the Boundless Body Radio Heritage Series!
Dr. Thomas Seyfried is a returning guest on our show! Be sure to check out his first appearance on Boundless Body Radio on episode 60, which one of the most fascinating discussions we’ve ever had, all about cancer as a metabolic disease! He was also hosted on episode 363 of our podcast.

He was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Neurology at the Yale University School of Medicine and then served on the faculty as an Assistant Professor in Neurology. Other awards and honors have come from such diverse organizations as the American Oil Chemists Society, the National Institutes of Health, The American Society for Neurochemistry, the Ketogenic Diet Special Interest Group of the American Epilepsy Society, the Academy of Comprehensive and Complementary Medicine, and the American College of Nutrition.
Dr. Seyfried has over 150 peer-reviewed publications and is the author of the book, Cancer as a Metabolic Disease: On the Origin, Management, and Prevention of Cancer (Wiley, 1st ed., 2012).

Sarah Tyndall, PT, MPT, OCS, is a Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Physical Therapist who trained in Classical Ballet growing up, ultimately deciding to pursue a career in Physical Therapy to help other dancers reach their dreams and highest potential. Dance has remained an integral part of Sarah's life, branching into Latin and Salsa style performance training even after grad school.
Over Sarah's more than 20 years of practice and nearly 14 years as a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist, her experience ranges from children to older adults with focused niche skills in Dance Medicine and Performing Arts and Foot & Ankle injuries.
Sarah has previously worked with performers and students of Philadelphia Ballet, Rock School for Dance Education, University of the Arts, touring shows “Phantom of the Opera” and “So You Think You Can Dance”, and many others in the Philadelphia region. She also worked with internationally competitive Figure Skaters and gained exposure through medical and therapy team members for the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles and Flyers, bringing a strong understanding of the importance of truly cross-training the body to achieve maximal performance.
Her time spent as a therapist in this setting has helped her develop a deeper understanding of fast-paced triage, treatment planning and return to training programs for strength and conditioning. Sarah also decided to pursue more in-depth Pilates training through Balanced Body, to draw on and expand treatment concepts she has used throughout her career.

Becoming your own back mechanic? What a great idea!
Professor Stuart McGill shows us how! Back pain is a big problem for so many people. And Professor McGill has spend his life becoming a true master of his craft. As a professor emeritus at the University of Waterloo for 30 years, he has helped thousands of people to not only get out of pain, but to learn how to assess and correct issues for themselves.
His book Back Mechanic was so important for us and the people we work with for understanding these issues. He is now the Chief Scientific Officer of backfitpro.com, and is still helping people to this day. We are so grateful for Professor Start McGill and his great work to help people get out of pain!

Dr. Jocelyn Foran is a Canadian medical doctor and Staff Anesthesiologist at Nova Scotia Health Authority, holding a Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and a Diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
Through her private practice, Upstream Metabolic Medical, she promotes ketogenic and carnivore diets as treatments for chronic disease and metabolic conditions — dietary approaches that remain contested within mainstream nutrition science and are not endorsed by major public health bodies.
While her clinical background is in anesthesiology rather than nutrition or dietetics, she has pursued additional training as a Metabolic Health Practitioner through the Nutrition Network, an organization that advocates low-carbohydrate diets.
Metabolism is the process of turning food into form and function- yes, we ARE what we eat. Our metabolism is the core to our health, balancing everyday building (anabolism) with the breakdown of cells (catabolism). In our 21st-century toxic food environment, many of us are now living with metabolic dysfunction and chronic diseases that result: high blood pressure, obesity, insulin resistance, diabetes, infertility, autoimmune illnesses, mental illnesses and cancer. These chronic diseases are not cured, but rather “managed” with medications, often for the rest of our lives.
Metabolic coaching focuses on root cause healing to address and reverse chronic illnesses, empowering patients to improve their health by addressing lifestyle issues.

Nina Teicholz, PhD, is a science journalist and author of the New York Times bestselling The Big Fat Surprise: Why Butter, Meat, and Cheese Belong in a Healthy Diet, which upended the conventional wisdom on dietary fat–especially saturated fat—and spurred a new conversation about whether these fats in fact cause heart disease.
Named a *Best Book* of the year by the Economist, Wall Street Journal and Mother Jones, among others, it continues to be called a must-read for anyone seeking to understand the amazing story of how we came to believe fat is bad for health—and what a better diet might look like.
Nina is also the founder of the Nutrition Coalition, a non-profit working to ensure that nutrition policy reflects a transparent process and is evidence-based. Teicholz is a graduate of Stanford and Oxford Universities and previously served as associate director of the Center for Globalization and Sustainable Development at Columbia University.
