  • EP. 76: Learn to be Productive & Trust your Intuition with Human Design ft Angelina Hernandez and Arlin Perez

If you are a Human Design fanatic (like I am) this episode is for you! If you don't already know, Human Design combines astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, and Vedic philosophy. It centers around the division of personalities into five energy types that could indicate how someone is supposed to exchange energy with the world. So basically everyone is either a Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, or Reflector.

My guests, Angelina Hernandez and Arlin Perez, and I attended a Human Design workshop but didn't get an individual reading during it. That's why I'll be giving them a reading!

Angelina is a mom, daughter, sister, and intuitive healer who answered the call from her ancestors. She has been blending the magic of her own personal heart medicine and sharing it with the world. She is the founder of Blissful Latina Coaching & Latinas of the Bay, a meet-up group tailored for the empowerment and growth of Latinas in the East Bay. She is also the host of the Chisme with Purpose Podcast.

Arlin Perez is a Dallas-Fort Worth-based Boudoir Photographer. Her goal is to empower her clients and push them to feel confident and powerful in their own skin.

This week on the Ch*ngona Revolution Podcast, we are diving into all things human design. Both Angelina and Arlin are learning all about themselves during this live reading session. Listen to find out what Angelina and Arlin have learned and how they can apply it to their current courage projects.

    ~

    Angelina Hernandez

Angelina has spent the last 10 years nurturing her own spirit. How exactly? By saying YES to herself in everything. It has been the most liberating type of freedom for her. She believes that life gets to be easy, fun, flowy, and full of bliss. And she is just getting started!

  • EP. 75: The Ultimate Courage Project: How Linda Garcia Pivoted to Teach POC the Stock Market

Hello Rebels! I can't tell you how excited I am for this week's episode! I recently interviewed the woman that got me into the stock market in the first place, Linda Garcia!

Linda is a Cali native and proud Latina. She spent 17 years working in the TV and film industry helping well-recognized TV networks, movie studios, and streaming services build programming for the U.S. Hispanic market. Despite enjoying the work, Linda knew there was more to life than working to make someone else rich.

In 2019, after relocating to Dallas, Linda's spiritual journey led her to her life's purpose: to help the Latinx community heal the generational money wounds that prevent them from achieving wealth. In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Linda launched her first stock market course for beginners and created a rapidly growing community of Latinx investors on Patreon and Instagram known as In Luz We Trust™️. Today Linda is a published children's book author, a self-made business owner, and a guiding Luz for thousands of BIPOC who are looking to break free from limiting and toxic money mentalities.

This week we're talking all about Linda's spiritual journey and her gift of guiding Latinas into a more profitable life. If you've read The Alchemist, you're gonna love listening to Linda's story. There are so many parallels and exciting life lessons to learn. I know you'll love it!

    ~

A Cali native and proud Latina, Linda Garcia spent 17 years working in the TV and film industry helping well-recognized TV networks, movie studios and streaming services build programming for the U.S. Hispanic market. Despite enjoying the work, Linda knew there was more to life than working to make someone else rich. Eventually, she took the knowledge she'd gained and used it to launch the Let There Be Luz podcast: a weekly podcast aimed at channeling one's spiritual journey.

Linda's new book, 'Wealth Warrior', acknowledges the hurdles communities of color face—from a scarcity mindset to a lack of generational wealth and financial literacy—and provides readers with the tools to get to the root of our money wounds (the factors and experiences that limit our capacity to feel deserving of wealth and capable of building it). This highly informative book provides an overview of the products and services that communities of color can access to bridge the wealth gap and provides culturally relevant and actionable advice on how best to take advantage of these opportunities.

  • EP. 74: How to Overcome Procrastination So That You Could Reach Your Goals

Have you ever noticed that no one teaches us how to fail? Even though failing is a part of life. Heck, I have failed so many times! I failed to make money off of my food blog, I failed to make it big as a Latina yoga instructor, and I failed to stick it out in Big Tech. But all of those failures taught me something. I learned how to be more courageous, I learned how to listen to my gut, and I learned how to accept failure as part of the process.

But before all of those failures, I definitely procrastinated, and that procrastination pushed my timeline to success back so many years.

This week on the Ch*ngona Revolution Podcast, we're talking about why you're putting off your dreams and how to overcome procrastination so that you can reach your goals.

  • EP. 73: Take Control of Your Mental Health Journey with Sonia Fregoso

Hello Rebels! Mental health is a topic that is unfortunately swept under the rug by the Latinx community, which is why I talk about it on the podcast all the time! I want to help destigmatize mental health issues and learn how to heal from them. I want people to be able to tell their stories and share their experiences. Because the more we share, the more we know we're not alone.

I want to end Mental Health Awareness Month with a bang. Which is why we are speaking to a licensed psychotherapist and good friend of mine, Sonia Fregoso.

Sonia Fregoso, M.A., LMFT, is a Xicana licensed psychotherapist, spiritual guide, and energy bruja. She meets people at the intersection of Spiritual Health and Mental Health, combining her expertise in psychology with elements of Ancestral, Somatic, and Energetic healing practices.

Sonia's journey to take control of her mental health is an amazing one. I found myself relating to her story so often and I think you will too. Tune in to learn about how Sonia learned how to heal herself, how she healed the people around her, and how you can find peace with an emotional limpia.

    ~

Sonia Fregoso, M.A., LMFT, is a Xicana licensed psychotherapist, spiritual guide, and energy bruja. Her zodiac big three are Aquarius Sun, Scorpio Moon, and Aries Rising. She is an introvert, highly sensitive person, and loves talking about all things "taboo" like tarot, sex, and death, to name a few. Sonia has a bachelor's in Psychology from the California State University of Los Angeles, and a Master's in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern California. She meets people at the intersection of Spiritual Health and Mental Health, combining her expertise in psychology with elements of Ancestral, Somatic, and Energetic healing practices. Sonia offers experiential transformations through guided spiritual hikes, emotional/energetic limpias, and online groups/courses focused on teaching people how to navigate safe and sustainable healing journeys. Her focus is on facilitating the release of emotional pain and helping people connect to their bodies, ancestors, and wisdom.

  • EP. 72: How to Peacefully Reach Your Goals

Hello Rebels! This week we're talking about a trend I've noticed with my clients and colleagues. We will create goals, try to manifest them without adjusting our actions, and then lose hope when we inevitably fail to reach these new goals.

Don't get me wrong, manifesting definitely works. But the universe needs more from you than good vibes. It needs a plan and it needs you to enact that plan.

Tune in to learn about the foolproof action plan I use in the Courage Driven Latina Program and how you can implement it in your own life.

  • EP. 71: Finding the Courage to Become Unconventional with Cande González

Hello Rebels! If you're listening to this podcast, it's probably because you've made some unconventional choices in your life. Whether that's starting your own business, calling off an engagement, or living a life that's different from society's standards you made a choice that was best for you. It takes a lot of courage to become unconventional and that courage came from somewhere deep inside you - your intuition. So how do we access our intuition and keep being courageous? We're asking this week's guest, Cande González.

Candelaria (Cande) González is a First-Gen Mexican-American blogger and life coach. Her Siempre Evolving blog is all about self-development, positive growth, and spirituality.

Tune in to hear Cande's journey to becoming unconventional and how she learns to trust her intuition.

  • EP. 70: How to Take Action When You Have Lost Your Motivation

As someone who has a ton of things on their plate at all times, I have to be the one to tell you that I am not motivated to do all the things all the time. Motivation comes and goes. And while I don't let a lack of motivation stop me, it is important to sit down and figure out why I've lost my motivation. And I suggest you do the same.

This life is unpredictable and we have to learn how to be resilient. But resilience doesn't have to look like working yourself to exhaustion - like we've been taught. Resilience can mean taking the time to mindfully check in with yourself and adjust your plans if you need to. Your lack of motivation is saying more than you think.

In this episode, I'll be teaching you everything I've learned from losing my motivation and how to get it back.

  • EP. 68: Failure is Redirection with Courtney Gutierrez

Success is almost never linear. Isn't that so frustrating!? We work so hard to achieve our dreams only to be let down at the finish line. But successful people know that failure is not the end, it's just the beginning. More often than not failure is redirection - it's not the end of the line. And before you write me off as an optimist, our guest has experienced this redirection firsthand. This week's guest is a former Courage Driven Latina student, Courtney Gutierrez!

Courtney Gutierrez is an inclusion, diversity, equity, and access consultant. She also worked in access and accommodations in higher education and got her Masters in Master's in Social Justice and Human Rights at Arizona State.

Courtney was working as a case worker for a nonprofit when she realized she wanted something more. She wanted a role that matched her leadership skills, she wanted to make more of a difference, and she wanted more of a purpose in her life. But it wasn't until she was rejected by her preferred Ph.D. programs that she knew she had to make a change. That's when Courtney found her courage and turned her entire life around. After finding her confidence and advocating for herself, Courtney got the promotion she deserved, was accepted into a new Ph.D. program, and found a new career path that she was excited about exploring. Listen to this week's episode to learn how she did it.

    ---

Courtney Gutierrez brings ten years of expertise in equity-focused roles, working with marginalized communities and optimizing processes for data-driven outcomes. With a Master's in Social Justice and Human Rights, she has published articles on various topics, including autism, belonging, and immigration reform. As a fourth-generation Mexican-American on her maternal side and first-generation on her paternal side, she understands the complexities of living in-between cultures and navigating intersectional identities. She's passionate about inclusivity, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA) initiatives and believes in honest, transparent, and compassionate client relationships. She's experienced the impact of assimilation, acculturation, and being the first in her family in many ways, and she is dedicated to supporting conversations on inequities, power imbalances, and cultural competencies. For self-preservation, Courtney dances flamenco, hangs with her dogs, invests in mental health therapy, and enjoys reading.

  • EP. 67: Finding Your Sexual Confidence with Rebecca Alvarez

I am very excited to introduce you all to the one and only, Rebecca Alverez! Rebecca is an entrepreneur, a sexologist, and the founder of the sexual wellness company Bloomi. If you are a client of mine, you know that I love Bloomi's products and I love the work she's doing. I've even handed out some of her products at my events!

Rebecca is here to teach us all about sexual wellness and sexual confidence. Oftentimes Latinas are not taught about sexual wellness by their parents. It can be a very awkward and embarrassing conversation, and as a result, many Latinos are only taught about abstinence in place of a thorough education.

Today we will be removing that awkwardness and having an open conversation about finding your own sexual confidence, intentional dating, and how to talk about sexual wellness with your loved ones.

    ~

Rebecca Alvarez Story, CEO of Bloomi, believes the key to unlocking satisfying intimacy starts with unlearning bad sex ed. As a nationally sought-after sexologist and entrepreneur, she is helping to normalize sexual wellness by creating accessible, clean intimacy products and inclusive content with Bloomi. Rebecca is one of the few Latinas in the US to raise over $1M in venture capital and in 2022, Bloomi became the first Latina-led brand to launch in the sexual wellness aisle in over 1200 Target stores nationwide. As a mom of two daughters, Rebecca also prioritizes family time and believes it is critical for families to be able to have open conversations about the body. A pioneer in the space, Rebecca graduated from UC Berkeley with a major in sexual wellness that she created and holds a Master's in Sexuality Studies.

Rebecca has been featured and contributed to publications including Forbes, Well+Good, Parents Latina, Byrdie, Refinery29, Elite Daily, BeLatina, mitú, and more. She has been named a Changemaker by Well+Good and Forbes' Next 1000. As a proud daughter of Latinx immigrants, Rebecca also focuses on diversity initiatives that elevate other BIPOCs in entrepreneurship.

Bloomi is currently crowdfunding and has opened up its campaign to the community to invest. More info here:
