Few states have gone through more rapid political changes than Colorado. Although historically a bastion of the Republicans, the state has voted in favour of the Democrats in the past two presidential elections. It's a coveted swing state where voting intentions keep on changing. The state’s growing Hispanic community and the increase of young and educated people have contributed to the shift in Colorado’s voting patterns. As a result, Colorado has one of the youngest and most educated electorate in the country. From Colorado's increasingly pro-Liberal capital city Denver, and campuses where so-called "outsider" candidates enjoy significant support, to rural areas where conservative values remain deeply ingrained: Let's take a tour of a state which symbolises the diversity of America's electorate.
