In this episode sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, I sit down with world champion sprinter and mental health advocate Jasmine Blocker. Jasmine talks about how sports have shaped her life and her decision to speak openly about mental health. She also shares her journey with major depressive disorder (MDD)—cycling through adequate trials of multiple depression medications without finding symptom relief—before being diagnosed with treatment-resistant depression (TRD).
Jasmine discusses what it meant to finally receive a TRD diagnosis, actively participating in treatment decisions, and how SPRAVATO® (esketamine) CIII nasal spray helped relieve her depressive symptoms. Every patient’s experience is different, so if you or an adult you know has been experiencing TRD, talk to a healthcare provider about SPRAVATO® and whether it may be the right fit.
