Yasmine Cheyenne is a writer, speaker, and self-healing advocate, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She helps people create and strengthen their individual self-care practices by teaching them the tools that empower lasting positive changes in their lives. An Air Force Veteran, Yasmine now focuses on her self-healing workshops as well as her writing. Her book, The Sugar Jar: Create Boundaries, Embrace Self-Healing, and Enjoy the Sweet things in Life, is available for preorder and releases on December 27.
We sat down to talk with Yasmine about:
1. Using self-healing language as a means to making mental health tools accessible, supporting others in understanding themselves, and becoming their own mental health advocates
2. Doing the work of unpacking the unspoken layers of perfectionism wounds that exist in marginalized communities
3. How she came to use the metaphor of a sugar jar to describe the beautiful mess called being human we are all attempting to wade our way through
Yasmine is an absolute treasure! We know this conversation will make you as excited to read her book as we are!
