Vasectomies to heart attacks, how's that for a segway?

We decided to record this episode on the Anniversary of my Cardiac Arrest.  It was a day that could have ended very differently, and it does for many, and I think about those people often.

And while this turned out about as good of an outcome as possible for us, it really changed both our lives forever.  There is trauma there for sure, but there was and is intense learning about who both Kim and I are as people, our resiliency, our weaknesses, things we are susceptible to, and how we both want to live the remaining days and years of our life.

Having an NDE (Near Death Experience) makes you question life and everything about it to the deepest levels.  I'm not sure there are ever "answers" but your mind can take you to some wild places when thinking about why you survived when you really "shouldn't" have. 

When we started recording this episode I'm not sure we knew we would dive this deep into that specific day and the events that unfolded.   Kim and I felt tired at the end, some things needed to be released, and we shared details we haven't shared before.  I heard some things for the first time as it's almost as if I wasn't involved as I don't remember anything around that day or even the week after.
