PROF. DR. PETRA ROTER – Profesorica mednarodnih odnosov na Univerzi v Ljubljani, Fakulteti za družbene vede. Magistrirala in doktorirala je na Univerzi v Cambridgeu, kjer je proučevala mednarodno upravljanje manjšinskih vprašanj.
Raziskovalno in pedagoško se ukvarja z mednarodnimi odnosi, zlasti na področju varstva človekovih pravic, vključno z manjšinskimi pravicami; proučuje tudi mednarodne institucije, norme in njihovo uresničevanje v praksi. Od 1. 6. 2022 je znova članica Svetovalnega odbora pri Okvirni konvenciji Sveta Evrope za varstvo narodnih manjšin. Kolegi neodvisni strokovnjaki so jo na prvem plenarnem zasedanju odbora oktobra lani znova izvolili za predsednico Svetovalnega odbora. Prof. Roter kot neodvisna strokovnjakinja redno sodeluje tudi z Visokim komisarjem za narodne manjšine pri OVSE in tudi s posebnim poročevalcem za manjšinska vprašanja pri OZN.

SIGNE BOCK SEGAARD – Senior research fellow at the Institute for Social Research, Oslo, Norway. Her research interests include local democracy, elections, representation, and voter behavior. Currently, Segaard is project leader (together with Jo Saglie) for the Norwegian Local Election Studies, and she participates in the Norwegian National Election Studies as well.
Her publications include the articles ‘Why Norway has more female local councillors than Denmark: a crack in the Nordic gender equality model?’ (West European Politics, 2022); ‘A gender-generation gap in political representation? The contingent impact of preference voting in Norwegian municipal elections’ (Local Government Studies, 2021); and ‘When do consultative referendums improve democracy? Evidence from local referendums in Norway’ (International Political Science Review, 2021).

Areas of his academic interes include gender issues like getting women on boards, the contribution of women on boards (business case), gender codes/feminism and women career advancements. He made about 150 presentations about women on boards – presented at seminars and conferences in more than 20 different countries, including for several parliaments or governmental bodies, Slovenia included.
