Julie Cartwright, President of Pvolve, shares her experience meeting Rachel Katzman, a founder with an incredible idea they couldn't refuse. Katzman introduced a method that combines functional movement and resistance-based training, aimed at improving well-being while sculpting a "killer body." The concept was so compelling that she decided to partner with Katzman to launch a company. Initially, the business had a strong digital focus, featuring patented resistance equipment and a functional movement-based method as its core.
Pvolve is a fitness approach that focuses on a "women-first lens" due to women's unique hormonal fluctuations and varying needs throughout different stages of life. However, the program is not exclusively for women; it can also benefit men, especially in areas like flexibility, which could improve activities such as golf.
Julie explains that Pvolve benefits from strong national marketing and a direct-to-consumer (DTC) model. This approach allows them to build a consumer base before opening new physical locations. She discusses the marketing support provided to franchisees, particularly in the P-Volv franchise. Franchisees receive assistance from a marketing specialist who helps guide them through the process. Each franchisee commits to both local and digital marketing efforts, with strategies tailored to the specific demographics of their area.

Carl J Cox is the Host of The Measure Success Podcast, $4 Million Strategies, author of Lost at CEO, and the Founder and CEO of 40 Strategy.
Carl discusses his experience working with seven diverse companies, each achieving growth from 2X to 7X, despite being very different organizations. He emphasizes that every business has fundamental principles and that success involves understanding what isn't working within your business, people, processes, and systems. Carl notes that many organizations recognize issues but are unwilling to act on them.
He talks about how to better support employees, emphasizing that understanding their needs and being present for them is more important than offering more money. He mentions that money is rarely a top reason employees leave; instead, employees often leave due to issues with a specific person, such as a supervisor or boss.
Carl emphasizes the importance of breaking down large objectives into smaller, manageable tasks that can be completed weekly over a ten-week period, known as a "sprint."

John Hewitt, Founder of Loyalty Brands, advises finding an industry you love, working hard, and persevering. Using their pet grooming business as an example, where all the owners are passionate about pets, they emphasize that life is too short to dread your work. Instead, you should look forward to Mondays and be proud of what you do. John reflects on the idea that the only two guarantees in life are death and taxes, making them a reliable business. However, a third certainty is mentioned: change.
Loyalty Brands is a synergistic group of franchise businesses and services designed to dovetail together to help the franchise buyer to prosper both quickly and over the long term. Each of the Loyalty franchise concepts are easily knitted together to provide interested prospects a portfolio of businesses that are exciting for them to consider. The brands under the Loyalty umbrella include ATAX Tax Service, Zoomin Groomin, Loyalty Business Brokers, CR3 Exterior Remodeling, Little Medical School, The Inspection Boys, and Ledgers Accounting and Business Services.
John advises that even if someone has no experience in a specific field like plumbing, HVAC, or cutting hair, they should still consider it if the business model resonates with them. He highlights his experience in the tax industry, where many newcomers had no prior knowledge of taxes. He explains the benefits of the industry, such as its seasonal nature, recession-proof status, and the challenge of dealing with the IRS. John encourages anyone interested in an unfamiliar industry to spend time in the field to see if they enjoy it before fully committing.

Ryan Sawchuk, Founder of ReUp, discusses how 80% of first-time homebuyers last year regretted their purchase, suggesting that real estate transactions have become overwhelming and less enjoyable. He compares home buying to other significant life milestones, like a first kiss, a first car, or a wedding, emphasizing the need to make the experience fun again.
ReUp can be started as a home-based business or through building an "experience center," with multiple options available. Ryan notes that there is no need for an office location and that the initial investment involves a $50,000 upfront fee for a five-year protected service area. The franchise also provides support to franchisees who may need financing assistance for their business setup.

Ty McBride, Founder of Preservan, shares his commitment to supporting franchisees, emphasizing a personal connection with a Nashville franchise owner. He highlights his focus on local ownership and ongoing support, which extends beyond just opening new locations.
He discusses the benefits of choosing a franchise, emphasizing the importance of brand uniqueness and available territory. He notes that while bigger franchises may be appealing, their territories are often already sold or the market may be oversaturated. Ty advises that when considering franchise options, it's crucial to have conversations with the brand, either through a consultant or directly through the website, to determine the best fit.
Ty discusses his goals for 2024, which is to save American homeowners $20 million. He has reached about half of the target so far. He emphasizes setting ambitious goals, envisioning the positive impact of saving money, such as avoiding debt, funding education, or taking long-awaited vacations.
Preservan offers a unique service focused on saving customers money, claiming to be 90% cheaper than replacements. Their work is affordable, convenient, sustainable, and typically completed within 24 hours. They prioritize hiring individuals who share their values and possess operational and project management skills, as these qualities are seen as crucial for driving the company forward and advancing the careers of employees.

Nathan Pearce, Founder of Pearce BeSpoke, describes how he initially became an owner-operator of a custom clothing business by testing his ability to sell custom suits.
Pearce BeSpoke offers suits starting at $900, making them affordable and accessible to a broader demographic, including young professionals. Their average sale is around $1,500, but prices can go up to $2,500. The focus is on providing high-quality, affordable suits that appeal to a wider audience, particularly within a franchise model, as opposed to catering to the high-end $5,000 suit market.
Nathan emphasizes the importance of building relationships and leveraging personal connections in sales, particularly in custom clothing. Sales reps and franchisees are encouraged to showcase their role as clothiers who personally create the clothing, which is seen as more engaging than selling more common services like real estate or insurance. Additionally, credibility is built by highlighting high-profile clients such as Eli Manning, Drew Brees, and Barron Trump, which speaks to the quality, service, and affordability of their products.

Kelsey Stuart, CEO of Bloomin Blinds, discusses the different types of people and their approaches to creativity and structure. He emphasizes that creative individuals should create their own unique paths, while those who value systems and processes can benefit from established frameworks like franchises.
Bloomin Blinds has eliminated rental software, rebuilding everything internally to address specific pain points effectively. Predictive analytics now control marketing, yielding excellent results, while the owners continue personal engagements like meeting people directly.
Kelsey highlights the scalability of adding more vehicles to a business, demonstrating that duplication can significantly boost business velocity, as well as why people fail in franchise businesses.

Mike Stone, CEO and President of CertaPro Painters, discusses how their franchise and sales teams typically lack painting experience. Instead, they focus on providing a business model centered on running a professional, customer-oriented operation. Mike outlines three strategic pillars for success: financial profitability, market share growth, and providing an extraordinary brand experience. He emphasizes that these elements are interconnected and essential for overall success.
Mike highlights the benefits of remote management for a business. It explains how salespeople and crews can be effectively managed remotely, and how paint can be delivered to job sites without physical presence. He highlights that CertaPro Painters distinguishes itself from other painting or home service businesses by providing a roadmap for business scaling and growth. The blueprint includes guidance on hiring roles and developing leadership skills necessary for success.

Brian Johnson, VP of Franchise Development of Dumpster Dudez, discusses the organic advertising benefits of having branded bins in a market. He explains the process of dumpster rental services. Unlike junk hauling, where a team removes junk directly, dumpster rental involves dropping off a bin at a client's location, such as a house undergoing roofing, remodeling, or restoration.
Brian discusses the implementation of data science to accelerate business growth for new franchisees, aiming to achieve rapid development within the first one to two years. As well as discusses a strategic approach in franchising that focuses on transparency and mindset.

Richie Huffman, CEO & Founder of Celebree School, describes their experience transitioning from running corporate locations to managing franchise partnerships. He discusses the need to make learning enjoyable in the public school system. Unlike many franchise brands that build their infrastructure as they grow, this company offers a fully built and validated system from the start. Richie also discusses the typical size and investment required for their schools. Operating in 17 states, the schools have quickly become a national brand. Each school occupies approximately 10,000 to 12,500 square feet and accommodates around 160 to 220 children, ranging from infants to preschoolers, including before and after school programs!
