Do you find yourself feeling "stuck" in an unhealthy relationship because of the unknowns? This week, Britt Frank joins Moms Moving On to help debunk the mental health myths that keep people in relationships for far too long. Britt touches on:

Trauma brain and how it can affect us in relationships.

How cultural beliefs keep you stuck

Overcoming the fear or "what ifs" of leaving an unhealthy relationship

And MUCH MORE

Britt Frank is a therapist, teacher, speaker, and trauma specialist who is committed to dismantling the mental health myths that keep us feeling STUCK and SICK.

Her work focuses on empowering people to understand the inner mechanisms of their brains and bodies. When we know how things work, the capacity for CHOICE is restored and life can and does change.

Whether she’s leading a workshop, teaching a class, or working individually with private clients, Britt’s goal is to educate, empower, and equip people to transform even their most persistent and long-standing patterns of thinking and doing.

Britt received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her master’s degree from the University of Kansas. She is a licensed psychotherapist, trauma expert, trained in IFS (Internal Family Systems) and SE (Somatic Experiencing). In addition to her private practice, Britt is also an award-winning adjunct instructor and has taught classes on ethics, addiction, and clinical social work.

Britt struggled for more than two decades with chemical/behavioral addictions, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, OCD, trichotillomania, crazy-making relationships, and complex PTSD. After finding her way out of that mess (with a lot of help and a brief stint in a religious cult), Britt changed careers, went back to graduate school, and became a therapist.
