We are excited to welcome pro long course triathlete Marta Sanchez to the IronWomen podcast this week! Marta is a Spanish athlete who has a long history of racing and experience, with her most recent highlight being her first full Ironman win in South Africa. The Paralympic Games are about to begin, so building on that excitement, we are excited to welcome Kendall Gretsch back to the show! Kendall is currently preparing to defend her gold medal in the triathlon in Paris this year, and had so much great intel about what life has looked like leading up to these games. In addition to being a Paralympic medalist in triathlon, Kendall is also a medal winner in the biathlon in the winter Paralympic Games. She tells us all about these experiences, how she balances being competitive in two different sports, and what she expects in the race in Paris. We will all be cheering Kendall on as the big day approaches, and can't wait to see what she achieves in this games and beyond!

Following the first weekend of supertri racing in Boston, we are excited to welcome Olympic medalist Katie Zaferes back to the show! Katie has had quite the eventful few years since we last talked to her, with many great career accomplishments and also becoming a mom. We are back from our Olympic break, and excited to pick back up by welcoming Gabrielle Rose to the show!! Gabby is an elite swimmer and Olympian who at 46 years old was the oldest swimmer to qualify and swim at this year's US Olympic Trials. She competed in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, and had amazing performances, advancing to the semifinals in both!

In this episode we got to hear all about what the last two decades of Gabby's life have looked like in and out of the pool. From competing at the Olympic Games in her 20s, to reaching new personal bests in the pool in her 40s, Gabby has some great insight for everyone about what it means to achieve longevity in sport.
