We are so excited to welcome pro long course athlete Danielle Fauteux to the show this week! Danielle recently became a pro at 39 years old, but prior to that she balanced her other hobby of being a plane pilot alongside her career as an architectural designer. In this interview she tells us all about her adventure-filled life, and how all of the passions she has pursued have led her to professional triathlon. Danielle also tells us about how she began her career in elite sport as a semi professional soccer player, as well as doing track and field, and didn't even sign up for an ironman until age 36! She has had numerous top 10 finishes in pro races already and we can't wait to cheer her on in the seasons to come.

This week we are thrilled to welcome pro long course athlete Danielle Lewis back to the show! Danielle has had an incredible season so far this year, including a great result at Ironman Worlds in Nice, but she’s not done yet. She told us in this episode all about how she’s sharpening up for 70.3 world championships in Taupo in December, and how she’s mentally taking on a season that goes so late in the year. This week we are so excited to welcome Barbara Perkins to the IronWomen podcast!! Barbara is the coach of the Denver University women's triathlon team, which she started herself from the ground up in 2020. In this episode, we got to hear all about what it's like to build an elite and competitive NCAA triathlon program that has consistently been ranked one of the top teams in the nation. She shares some valuable coaching insights, and what she hopes for the future of NCAA triathlon and women in the sport as a whole. We are thrilled to welcome Emma Meyers to the show this week. Emma is a PTS4 category para triathlete, and at the age of 18, just competed in the Paris Paralympic games. She also just started her freshman year at Colorado Mesa University, where she is a member of their DII triathlon team, and recently became the first para triathlete to compete in an NCAA triathlon.

In this interview Emma sheds some light on what life looks like to be competing at her sport's highest level at such a young age, as well as what it has been like to step into draft legal racing on the NCAA scene. Emma also shares how she embraces being a trailblazer in the sport, and the sort of legacy she hopes to develop.

After an eventful weekend of racing, Alyssa and Haley got to debrief everything that went on in the triathlon world. After that, we had an exciting interview with Tara Dower and her crew chief, Rascal, who just achieved the overall fastest known time on the Appalachian Trail! Tara and Rascal told us all the details of this incredible endeavor, including how they decide to work together, and all the preparation that went into the attempt itself. We also got to hear about the highs and lows of life on the trail and we are so glad these two took the time to come on the show!
