In this episode I’m joined by Newcastle surfer Josh Levey, who set himself a challenge that sounds almost impossible… surf 7,000 waves in one month.
But this wasn’t about records or attention.
It was about purpose.
Josh took on the challenge to raise money and awareness for Soul Hub, a local homelessness charity supporting people doing it tough in his community. By the end of the month he’d raised over $100,000 and inspired thousands of people along the way.
We talk about his upbringing and relationship with the ocean, the moment he realised he wanted to use surfing for something bigger than himself, and how a simple idea turned into a movement.
Josh also opens up about the reality behind the highlight reel. The exhaustion, injuries, mental battles, early mornings, cold water, and the discipline it took to keep showing up every single day. What stood out most was how purpose can carry you further than motivation ever will.
We finish by chatting about what the experience taught him about gratitude, perspective and community, and where he wants to take this impact next.
This is a conversation about using what you love to help others, pushing your limits for a meaningful reason, and how one person’s commitment can ripple through an entire community.
In this episode we cover:
• Why Josh decided to surf 7,000 waves in 30 days
• The link between purpose and mental resilience
• The toughest physical and mental moments of the challenge
• What he learned about homelessness through Soul Hub
• The power of community support and accountability
• What comes next after achieving something this big
If you’ve ever wondered how small daily actions can turn into real impact, you’ll love this one.

In this episode I’m joined by Nigel Beach and we explore how much our environment shapes our mental state.
We often try to think our way into feeling better, but our nervous system responds first to what we sense. Light, temperature, hydration, and contact with nature all send signals to the body about whether we are safe or under threat. When we change those inputs, our state naturally follows.
This conversation is full of simple, practical ideas you can apply straight away at home. Nothing extreme, just small adjustments that help your body spend more time calm, clear and present.
We talk about hydration and how H2O affects energy and mood, why modern lighting can keep the brain alert at the wrong times, and how sauna and cold exposure build resilience rather than stress. We also dive into grounding and why reconnecting to natural signals helps regulate the nervous system.
The big message from this episode is that regulation is not only a mindset practice. It is something we can design into our daily life.
In this episode we cover:
• What nervous system regulation actually feels like day to day
• How your home can either support recovery or keep you wired
• The impact of hydration on focus, mood and energy
• Lighting habits that improve sleep and recovery
• Sauna and cold exposure as resilience training for the body
• Grounding and reconnecting to nature
• Small environmental changes that create lasting calm
If you enjoy this episode, share it with someone who would benefit and let us know your biggest takeaway 💛

In this episode, I share something a little different and a lot of fun.
Our 1% Good Club community recently came together to share their favourite restaurants, cafes, and local spots to try, and it turned into a reminder of why community matters so much.
It is a gentle reminder that being a good human is not always about doing more. Sometimes it is about sharing a great meal, trying somewhere new, and feeling connected to the people around you.
As always, this episode is inspired by messages from our community and built around the idea that small moments, done consistently, can make a big difference.

In this episode, I sit down with Dr Steven Lu, a former cardiac surgeon turned preventative health pioneer and the founder of Everlab.
Steven shares his journey through medicine, from operating in high-pressure ICU and surgical environments to asking a deeper question: why are we waiting until people are critically unwell before intervening? After years of treating heart disease at its most advanced stages, he realised the system was built around reacting to illness rather than preventing it.
We unpack the philosophy behind Everlab and why prevention, early detection, and personalised health data are the future of healthcare. Steven explains how understanding your biomarkers, lifestyle, and risk factors can help you take ownership of your health long before symptoms appear.
This conversation also dives into simple, practical health habits anyone can start today, from movement and nutrition to sleep, stress, and consistency over perfection. It is a powerful reminder that small daily choices can dramatically change long-term outcomes.
If you have ever felt confused, overwhelmed, or reactive about your health, this episode will help you reframe the way you think about wellbeing and empower you to take action earlier rather than later.
In this episode we cover:
This episode is about taking responsibility for your health, one decision at a time, before crisis forces the conversation.

We reflect on Andrew’s journey, the impact of committing to small daily habits, and the role community and accountability have played in his personal growth. Andrew shares the changes he has noticed in his mindset, consistency, and overall wellbeing, along with why he believes personal growth is something worth prioritising.
You will also hear short reflections and testimonials from other members of the 1% Good Club, sharing what the community has meant to them and how simple daily actions have created lasting change.

In this powerful and deeply honest conversation, I sit down with Australian professional tennis player Thomas Fancutt for his very first interview since serving a 10 month anti doping ban that turned his world upside down.
Thomas opens up about the moment everything changed. A simple IV drip that he believed was allowed became a career altering mistake, leading to a ban that shocked him, his team, and the tennis world.
We talk about what it was really like to have his career paused overnight, the emotional toll of being labelled, judged, and misunderstood, and the mental battle of staying motivated when the sport you love is suddenly taken away.
Thomas shares the behind the scenes reality of the ban, the shame and frustration he carried, and how he worked through anger, fear, and uncertainty about his future.
Most importantly, we dive into the comeback. How this experience reshaped his mindset, strengthened his resilience, and gave him a new perspective on purpose, pressure, and identity beyond sport.
This episode is about mistakes, accountability, and what it really takes to rebuild when your life takes an unexpected turn.
If you have ever faced a setback that felt unfair, overwhelming, or completely out of your control, this conversation will hit home.
This is a raw, real, and inspiring conversation about turning one of the hardest moments of your life into fuel for your next chapter.

In this powerful and honest episode of the Good Humans Podcast, I sit down with Lockie Welch to talk about his journey from addiction and rock bottom moments to becoming a passionate mental health advocate and positive voice for thousands of people online.
Lockie opens up about what life looked like during his addiction, the turning points that helped him begin his recovery, and how doing the inner work completely changed the direction of his life. We dive into how he built a large and engaged social media community focused on mental health, vulnerability and real conversations that actually help people feel less alone.
One of the most fascinating parts of this chat is Lockie’s experience spending a month in Thailand completing a monk ordination. He shares what it was really like living as a monk, the daily routines, the mental challenges, and the powerful lessons he brought back into everyday life around presence, discipline and perspective.
This episode is full of hope, real talk and practical inspiration for anyone who has struggled, is struggling, or wants to better understand the journey of healing and growth.
If you or someone you love has faced addiction or mental health challenges, this episode is a reminder that change is possible and that support, purpose and self work can completely transform your life.

Welcome to the first episode of the Good Humans Podcast for 2026.
I wanted to start this year with something powerful, practical, and a little different. That is why I invited Ole Hill, who is widely regarded as Australia’s leading hypnotist, onto the show.
In this episode, Ole and I dive into how hypnosis actually works, why so many of us struggle to follow through on our New Year’s resolutions, and how our subconscious mind plays a much bigger role in our behaviour than most people realise.
What makes this episode really special is that Ole guides us through a live hypnosis session during the conversation. This was designed to help you connect with your goals for 2026, let go of mental blocks, and set clear intentions for the year ahead. It is something you can come back to anytime you need a reset.
For me, this episode is about more than motivation. It is about creating real change by working with your mind rather than against it. If you are stepping into 2026 wanting more clarity, confidence, or alignment with your goals, this episode is a great place to start.
If you can, listen to this episode somewhere quiet, especially for the hypnosis section. Sitting or lying down comfortably and giving yourself permission to slow down will help you get the most out of it. - Please don't do the hypnosis while driving.
Thanks for being here and for kicking off 2026 with me. I hope this episode helps you feel clear, grounded, and excited for the year ahead.
