Heidi is the scapegoat for her family. Her father was highly controlling, watching her every move, waiting to erupt at minimal slights of ever-changing and unpredictable goalposts. These events set the stage for a life of low self-esteem, confidence, and worth. 

It's a story of enmeshment, minimizing, denying, blame, putdowns, rage, sexual abuse, enabling, suicidal ideation, depression, bullying, intergenerational trauma, fragmented identity, loneliness, CPTSD, and PTSD.
