What is toxic positivity? And how can we encourage our kids to have a positive outlook on life without pushing a “good vibes only” message?
In today’s episode, we explore two things that optimism is not – toxic positivity and spiritual bypassing. I teach how we can be intentional about ensuring that we’re not dismissing our children’s feelings or substituting our experiences for theirs.
I also coach you through 4 powerful questions we can ask ourselves to challenge our (sometimes pessimistic) paradigms and how our brain can be re-wired to see and experience all the good in this world.

What if I told you that you can use Conscious Parenting methods to grow your self-awareness and transform your marriage?
In today’s episode, Conscious Parenting & Marriage Coach, Beth Rowles, walks us through her proven system to build healthy relationships.
“The relationship itself is what you're not happy with. It's not him, it's the relationship itself that’s not working. And you both co-created that. Right now, you're both playing a role in it. And if you step out of this role that you're playing, he has no choice but to step out of the role that he's been playing. So, you can literally shift that relationship dynamic out of something that's dysfunctional, into something that's healthy, by just refusing to play your current role in it.” - Beth Rowles

At the core of it, raising open-minded kids means that our kids have the ability to notice and consider things that are different – and then reach for curiosity and compassion rather than judgment.
In today’s episode, I talk about exposing our kids to diversity and how we can start to foster their independent, critical-thinking skills.
I also coach on the crucial art of listening, and how our kids can’t begin to be open-minded until they’re willing to genuinely listen to the stories, perspectives, and concerns of others.
And finally, I challenge all of us parents to check ourselves – how are we modeling open-mindedness for our children? How are we responding to those around us with curiosity and compassion, rather than judgment?

“Don’t feel guilty about it. There are times when we’re in survival mode as moms, and we just have to get through the day. And however we get through the day - that is surviving and that is amazing. Aside from safety considerations, most of the other things we worry about aren’t that important. Do the rules say X? Fine, that would be ideal, but we don't live in an ideal world. So sometimes just surviving is ok.” - Sharon Mazel

It fires me up to imagine how this world will change as we raise a generation that recognizes the needs of others and steps up to meet those needs.
Our kids are incredible – even from a young age we can really empower them to live a life of service. When our kids serve others, it helps them to see and believe that they can make a difference in the lives of others. And I think when they see that, they’re able to embody the belief that they can make a difference in their own lives too.
Listen to today’s episode to learn how we can make service a family habit and ways we can let our kids take the lead in serving others.

How our children see themselves, is heavily influenced by how we see ourselves. Our confidence (or lack thereof) is contagious! And for our children to thrive and continue to walk in their calling and purpose, they’re going to need a certain level of confidence.
We’ve all experienced it, right? How we feel about ourselves has a huge impact on:
In today’s episode, I explain why we need to be intentional about the labels we’re speaking over kids. I also coach on how important it is that we’re doing our own inner work (and where to start), because the insecurities and hang-ups we carry are having an impact on our children.

Real talk – have you ever found yourself in a rough season of motherhood where you deeply loved your kids, but you just didn’t feel like there was much to like in the moment?
In today’s episode, Jenna Griffith, host of the top-rated show The Joy Filled Podcast, shares how we can find peace and purpose through both the highs and lows of motherhood.
“Motherhood was always my dream job. So it was earth shattering to me when I started feeling those feelings of like, is this it? One thing that I learned is that our calling doesn't change depending on the season we're in. Our calling is to love Jesus and to make him known to the people around us. And so when we're rooted in that eternal purpose, and take our eyes off of right now and put them back on eternity, then the assignments that we have, we can do wholeheartedly unto God. Because that's the thing about life - we have lots of different assignments, and right now our assignment is motherhood.” – Jenna Griffith

For the longest time, I associated being creative with being artistic. I couldn't draw or sing, so I believed that I wasn't creative. Have you ever felt this way?
And then I realized that my kids would never say "I’m not creative." They’re creating all day long. They’re inventing imaginary worlds, they’re painting and drawing on any surface available, they're making up songs and singing – they’re constantly creating.
So where along the journey do we lose this creativity? Creativity isn't limited to artistic expression. Innovation is creative. Scientific discovery is creative. Problem-solving is creative. Writing and speaking are creative. The truth is that we were all created to create.
In today's episode, you'll learn 3 key ways you can help your children remain aware of the power they hold to create so that creativity becomes a practice and continues to be a lifestyle for them.

We all tend to go into certain Personality Patterns when we’re feeling overwhelmed or experiencing some sort of stress in our lives.
There are 5 Personality Patterns, and whenever we realize that we've gone into a Pattern, our first job is to get ourselves out of the Pattern and back to being present.
In today’s episode, I’m going to coach you on how to get out of each Pattern once you notice you’re in it. Because when we’re able to get out of Pattern, we have access to our learning brain, and we can operate as our true and authentic selves. This allows us to interact with our kids, partner, and all the other people in our lives – not from a skewed defensive Pattern – but through a clear lens.

You've built a full life. The career, the family, the responsibilities, the goals — all of it.
And the fuller it gets, the more stretched thin you feel.
Not…
But because your nervous system was never upgraded to match the life you've built.
High Capacity is the podcast for ambitious women who are done just managing their stress and are ready to actually expand what they can hold.
Hosted by trial attorney turned nervous system strategist Michelle Grosser, each episode unpacks the nervous system science behind why you feel maxed out, reactive, and depleted — and gives you real tools to expand your capacity across every area of your life.
This isn't just about doing less.
It's about becoming someone whose nervous system can hold more — more joy, more presence, more of the life you've worked hard to build, and more of the demands that come with it — without the low-grade stress that's become your new normal.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
- How to expand your emotional, stress, physical, relational, and joy capacity
- Nervous system-based tools that work in real life, in real time
- How to identify your Capacity Pattern — the specific strategy your nervous system defaults to when you're overwhelmed — and what it means for your stress, your relationships, and your daily life
New episodes every Tuesday and Friday.
Tuesdays bring the nervous system science and tools.
Hi-Cap Fridays give you one practical move to expand your capacity in the week ahead.
