Waking up each day can feel tough when it brings the same discomfort that never ends. Inflammation keeps your body stiff. Anxiety keeps your thoughts spinning. And no matter how much you sleep, it’s never enough.

You’ve tried everything—medications, treatments, even those fad wellness trends. Yet nothing seems to get to the root of your health struggles. The weight of anger, tiredness, and hopelessness are things you know all too well.

Could there be a natural way to help your body heal? Something that didn’t have harsh side effects or add more stress to your already busy life?

In this episode, my special guest, Ethan Pompeo of Green Valley Nutrition shared his journey with PANDAS and how he found life-changing relief from CBD.

CBD also helps reduce inflammation, eases anxiety, and improves sleep. It can be a great addition to your health toolbox, but for the best results, it should be part of a bigger wellness plan. It’s not a quick fix. It's a way to support your body as you make other positive changes.

  • Ask Jen: Can Red Light Therapy and Saunas Help With Head Trauma and Concussions?

Infrared saunas offer numerous health benefits. They're excellent for healing from an injury, reducing inflammation, improving circulation, and even aiding in the recovery from brain trauma, such as concussions.

While I'm not a medical expert, I’ve experienced firsthand how this therapy can promote unbelievable healing, especially when combined with red light therapy. If you’re dealing with pain, or inflammation, or just looking for ways to boost your overall wellness, an infrared sauna might be worth considering.

In this episode, I'm answering these three questions:

    1. Can red light therapy help with concussions and other head trauma?
    2. Does Clearlight®️ sauna make an outdoor sauna?
    3. Can I work out in the sauna?

I also shared bits and pieces of my recent travels especially my soul adventure in Banff, Canada. I would not have experienced Banff if I had not used a few specific therapies routinely over the years, and one of those is my Clearlight®️ infrared sauna.

Whether you’re an athlete or simply someone who wants to feel better in your body, the combination of heat and light therapy is a powerful tool.

Don’t forget that your health is your wealth, and making these small, mindful additions to your routine can truly change your life.

  • My Recent Transformative Trips & Exciting New Projects – You Won't Want to Miss This

I’m coming to you today with an update on what's been happening in my world lately.

Over the past few months, I've been taking a step back to assess my projects and goals. So, I've intentionally set aside September to take a break from work and the day-to-day hustle, getting a little quiet with myself, and thinking about what I want to achieve with the Homes That Heal podcast.

September turned out to be all about travel, family, and discovery. It was absolutely amazing,

First off, Mom and I took a fabulous annual mother-daughter trip up to Bayfield, Wisconsin. Our special getaway is filled with relaxation, reminiscing, and rejuvenation.

Second, Mark and I went to West Palm Beach, Florida. We attended an event hosted by our amazing coaches Bob Burg, Kim Angeli, and Jeff West. More than an event, it’s an experience. It was all about connecting, sharing, living in gratitude, and creating a sense of support.

Lastly, I give you a heads-up of some of the exciting projects & upcoming episodes that I think you'll love.

So, what are you waiting for? Tune in now!

  • Secrets to Wellness: Megan Zechel’s Journey From Autoimmune Challenges to Vibrant Health

"Healing isn’t about levels or quick fixes; it’s about holding the frequency, elevating yourself, and embodying the work."

Those are the words of my friend Megan Zechel, who is sharing her family's health journey in this episode.

Megan's health struggles, including rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto's hypothyroidism, and food allergies, led her down a path of self-discovery and holistic healing. She didn't find the answers she needed in traditional medicine, so she embarked on a journey of self-education, diving into holistic nutrition, herbalism, and other natural modalities. Her daughter's health issues led her to work with holistic practitioners to uncover the root causes, and the entire family made changes. Through this process, the whole family made significant lifestyle changes to detoxify their home and diet. Megan's husband also faced health challenges, including ulcerative colitis. Again, Megan refused to settle for conventional treatments and explored a more holistic approach, incorporating music therapy, plant medicine, and emotional healing work. The family's dedication to their well-being is truly inspiring.

Tune in now and be inspired to start taking on your healing journey with intention.

    Megan Zechel Bio:

Megan Zechel lives in Fort Atkinson, WI, with her husband, close to their four children and soon-to-be three grandchildren. They owned NorthFit Creamery, "Home of CrossFit Fort Atkinson," which opened in 2012 and sold in August 2023. Over the years, they've built a strong community focused not only on physical fitness but on holistic well-being. This foundation has allowed them to work more closely with individuals, small groups, and couples, fostering personal growth and healing.

Megan's passion is healing the body and creating community through practices like Holistic Nutrition, Herbalism, Physical Fitness, Metabolic Healing, and energy work, including Reiki and Spiritual Response Therapy (SRT, pendulum work). Now, she mentors individuals and groups, leads sound bath and healing circles, and hosts retreats and classes. She believes life can be truly beautiful when we break free from limiting beliefs, allowing joy, laughter, and healing to flourish.
