Then, they welcome comedian and musician, Rachel Green to the show who has recently decided to have breast reduction surgery for medical and self care reasons. Currently at a J cup, Rachel reveals that she’s already feeling some pre-grief about something that has been such a big part of her life; pun intended. She goes on to share how she came to this decision as well as the ins and outs of getting it approved, what the surgery will entail and what after-care will look like. Skincare Routine Starts Tomorrow

On today’s debut episode of Good Bodies, Emily and Lauren announce the new name of the podcast. See ya never, diets! Then, they review Oprah and Weight Watcher’s most recent special “Making The Shift” which was basically made as a response to the response of their original special on ABC “Shame, Blame And The Weight Loss Revolution” Did you get all that? This episode functions as a sequel to “Oprah-Zempic” which aired 3/31/24. Right off the bat, both Emily and Lauren share how different this special felt; it was much less of a glorified infomercial for glp1s and more of a conversation from multiple perspectives about the ways in which diet culture has harmed us. We’re giving credit where credit is due but also shining a light on the ways in which the special was lacking. Can a body size really be a disease? Why aren’t we talking about weight neutral care? What does making the shift actually mean?

Is Hair Dysmorphia A Thing?

On today’s episode of Diet Start Tomorrow, Emily and Lauren review a strange new trend on social media where people are joking about having just an iced coffee for breakfast or an espresso martini for dinner. What is the punchline here, people?? Then, they launch into a Food-Pinion segment brought to you by Impossible Foods where Lauren declares Impossible meatballs to be just as good if not better than regular meatballs. Sure, this is a branded segment but Lauren is prepared to die on this meatball hill. Finally, the two close us out by reviewing Sam Smith’s bold statement on the Met Gala’s red carpet about the need for more inclusive sizing. A clip of this moment was posted to the Everything’s Fine Instagram page and it REALLY pissed off some internet trolls (go to therapy plz, internet) but SZA clapped back at the fatphobia in the comment section.
