  • ENCORE EPISODE: Is Becoming a Virtual Assistant Right For You?
Welcome to the first “encore episode” of the How She Did That podcast! Last year I published “The Starting Now” series which included 4 episodes of useful information and advice for brand new and aspiring virtual assistants. We are going to be starting a brand new bonus series this month that features a few VA’s I know who are doing amazing things, but before we dive into that I wanted to bring back one of the episodes from “Starting Now” because it covers a very popular question that I don’t think gets addressed often enough, and that is how to know if being a VA will be right for you in the first place? I invite you to revisit this episode with me as I talk about four important things to ask yourself before embarking on the journey of becoming a virtual assistant!

  • How She Had a $100K Year While Working a Full Time Job

I am so excited to have Carrie Flynn back on the podcast as our first ever returning guest! Carrie helps super-busy and overwhelmed service based business owners and course creators strategize for maximum profit by increasing efficiency in their business systems, tools, and operations. She has completed a number of my programs, such as Booked and Balanced, and she is a current student inside of The Legendary Launch Manager Certification. She has had some major changes in her business since her last visit about a year ago, and I can’t wait for her to share her growth and her success stories with us in this episode. In other words, we are celebrating her wins today because I think her story is exactly what we need right about now to get us feeling inspired and motivated!

    We talk about:

    • Milestones that Carrie has reached in her business while working as a teacher full-time
    • Her goals for 2021 and what is helping her to achieve them
    • What changes she made in her business that lead to doubling her income in under a year

  • How She Shows Up When Life Gets Hard

Listen, we know this past year has been a lot. And that’s putting it lightly. While it’s so important for us to celebrate our highs, our successes, and our wins, what are some things that we can do to help us get through our lowest of lows, in life and in business? Because let’s face it, for entrepreneurs and online support pros like us those two things usually go hand in hand. I brought in my good friend Becca Reed, who is also a Trauma Therapist, to dive into this topic with us on today’s episode. So, how do we hold space for ourselves to be human and struggle with things, while also continuing to show up in our professional lives, reach our goals, and continue to grow our businesses even when times get hard? Pull up a seat and let’s get into it!

    We talk about:

    • Practical tips for juggling personal stressors, our business, and additional stress from the world around us
    • Different forms of self care
    • How Becca “amplifies her impact”

  • Mini Coaching: How to Get Out of an Employee Mindset

Welcome to our first mini-coaching session on How She Did That! In this episode, we are focusing on a question that is brought to us from admin pro, owner of KISS Virtual Services, and our good friend, Nakia Whittaker-Woody, who is also sitting down with us today to get her question answered! Nakia has been in the virtual space for 23 years while still working a corporate 9 to 5. This is something a lot of you listeners can surely relate to. Not only do you have to balance your time between two different careers, but you also have to balance your mindset, which can be easier said than done! Your mindset is such a key factor in growing your business because once you are confident, committed, and determined mentally, your actions will follow! However, as the humans that we are, we are bound to get stuck along the way. If you’re like Nakia and need some advice on getting unstuck, then this episode is for you!

    We talk about:

    • Being stuck between employee mindset and entrepreneur mindset
    • Focusing on your “why”
    • How journaling can help you
    • How to take the first action step
    • Saying “no” to things

  • How She Booked Out Her Services with a Virtual Summit

Have you ever participated in a summit that really resonated with you? Or have you often wondered what exactly does it take to put a summit together? Maybe you’re new here and you’re still trying to figure out what a summit even is! That’s totally okay. We are answering all of these questions, addressing the misconceptions, and dropping some essential tips on what to know and what to avoid in today’s episode.

Here to share her expertise on the subject with us is Krista Miller, founder of her very own summit-hosting business, Summit In A Box. After she launched her very first summit with a tiny audience, she tripled her email list, made $16k in sales, and booked out her services for 6 months! Her motto is that if you can sell a digital product or service, then you can host a profitable virtual summit too. So what are you waiting for? Take a listen and find out if it’s time for you to host your own virtual summit!

    We talk about:

    • How summits can support your business
    • As a speaker: How to find summits to speak at
    • As a host: How to find speakers for your summit
    • What to expect when hosting a summit

  • How She Became a Launch Manager

By this point, you know my Director of Operations, Jayla Rae, pretty well! She’s been on the podcast several times and every time has been awesome and so, I thought it would be fun to introduce you to another member of our leadership team, Lindsey Deatsch.  Lindsey is our lead Launch Manager for the Launch Guild and she also manages all of my launches. She’s been with the team for almost a year and immediately was absolutely so amazing that we knew we wanted to keep her forever so, in November of this year, Lindsey because our 2nd full-time employee and it’s still amazing to see the huge difference she’s made on the team in such a short period of time.

Today, I’m talking to Lindsey about what it’s like to be a launch manager.  As you may or may not know, my team and I are premiering The Legendary Launch Manager Certification and the first cohort kicks off in just a few weeks. You can go to tashabooth.com/launch to learn more about it. Lindsey is on the faculty of the certification and it’s such a joy to get her input and experience on the curriculum and overall experience.
