Ivelisse Page had an interesting journey that led her to this realization.

“You must be insane!!!”, is the initial reaction of any sane mind when they’re told to accept cancer.

It’s one thing to be attacked by foreign bodies, it’s worse to be attacked by those which ought to protect you.

It’s physicians that are often the worst patients.

Not for a lack of education, but rather the more educated they are, the more they’re likely to put aside symptoms by means of rationalization.

With so many non-physicians also educating themselves about the health sciences, they too become more likely to fall into the same trap.

“Ah, there’s nothing to worry about since I work out”, said Dr. Sergey Sorin before being diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer.

He attributed becoming pale due to working too much. He believed he was losing weight and dropping muscle mass due to stress. It wasn’t until he fell on the floor, in fetal position, and trying to throw up did he finally decide to have himself tested.

Acknowledging that there was a problem was probably the best and worst thing he could’ve done for himself.

The first oncologist who met with him basically just gave him a death sentence. Nonchalantly, numbers and percentages were shoved down his throat. And being told you need to attend chemo in order to survive, for no more than 2 years at that, isn’t usually received warmly.

For Dr. Sergey, it was a nightmare! He was a Physician at the age of 32, recently married, owner of a beautiful home, and was so sure he had left behind anything reminiscent of having lived downstream of Chernobyl.

But after the darkness comes the dawn. Dr. Sergey snapped and decided he wasn’t about to take deaths call right when he was living his American dream. He knew deep down that healing his body was his responsibility. He owed it to himself to find a better way towards recovery!

Besides a full recovery, that experience also led him to becoming a holistic physician, working with the “Father of Holistic Medicine” Dr. C. Cancer is NOT a Death Sentence!

Is this an unpopular opinion? Yes

But is there truth to this? Absolutely!

Take it from Chris Joseph who was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer.

Prognosis for this type of cancer is not at all appealing, with 70% of patients (diagnosed with it) not lasting 1 year, and 90% don’t go past 5 years. However, these ridiculous numbers aren’t even the worst things you can hear.

What’s truly terrifying about cancer are the signs and symptoms that come with it. Besides the physical issues like hair loss, stomach problems, fatigue, etc., are the mental battles you have to fight against suicidal thoughts, depression and anxiety, among many others.

(Imagine having to write a goodbye letter to your kids like Chris did)

Chris never thought he was the toughest of our kind. In fact, it came to a point wherein he was just DONE!

Done with the mental torture. Done with chemotherapy. Done with all that’s painful and causing him to suffer. He thought there had to be a better option.

And so, he quit chemotherapy. He didn’t have a Plan B. He quit because of how much he hated Plan A.

Unbeknownst to him at the time, quitting traditional treatment and deciding to take charge of his health was the best thing he could’ve done for himself! This opened up a whole other world of opportunities!

With a combination of western medicine, non-western medicine, meditation, yoga, supplements, workout, among other viable treatment options, Chris is now enjoying a renewed life!

The last thing any cancer patient needs is more stress from complex treatment and recovery plans.
