  • Podcast 19 - A Workplace Harassment Special with specialist Lawyer Deeba syed
In this episode Lala is joined by sexual harassment lawyer Deeba Syed from The Rights Of Women to discuss sexual harassment in the workplace. We answer questions from followers including:
Can you report bullying/non-sexual harassment years after you have left the job?
My boss has made several comments about me probably getting pregnant in the future during meetings. I feel uncomfortable with this. Do I have the right to be?
My senior boss at work said that my Insta posts were too saucy and that men will start assuming that on my days off I get up to a certain kind of thing and that I should avoid bikini pics . What could I have done in this situation? I didn’t report it as I was scared of repercussions.
What can you do if it’s a co-worker but if it’s outside of work?
What do you do if there is no HR department at work?
One guy from work gets handsy (arm around back or hand on knee) with females at the Christmas party every year. Everyone knows about it and even warn newer female employees to watch out for him but no one will do a single thing to stop him or even speak on his behaviour. He has never touched me or actually assaulted anyone else but is there anything I can do to make it stop?
Is it sexual harassment if someone asks you out at work?
My manager is a narcissist and now someone is leaving because of him. How do I deal with him?
What is your advice to people who don’t think that they will be believed?
I work in a male dominated environment – they have never been directly nasty with me but I hear the way that they speak about other women. They will talk about women they have slept with in really nasty ways and they often make sexualised comments about female customers. Do I have the right to say something even if it’s not directed at me?
How do you deal with little ‘banter’ comments. For example – my manager spilt a bit of water on my foot and said ‘Sorry did I get you wet?” I knew what he meant but I know that if I had complained he would have been able to justify it because technically he did get me wet. How do we deal with things like that?

  • Podcast 13 - Lala Explains with @blessedtasha and @Iamnicoladady An 'Inspirational Women' Special
In this episode Lala is joined by two women who inspire her. Fitness guru Natasha Knight and charity founder and author Nicola Dad, both who have overcome all the madness that life has thrown at them to be bad ass inspirational women. In this episode we answer questions from followers including:
How can you stop yourself from comparing yourself to your exes new girlfriend when she’s perfect?
Can you love two men at the same time? Both completely different qualities. :)
I am a 34 year old single woman and I haven’t had much experience. I can’t seem to find the confidence to just go for it. Help!
Why are men so intimidated by strong successful women?
What is life like after cancer?
How do you stay motivated to go to the gym regularly when you are a lazy person?
Is it a bad sign if a guy brings you to his Mum’s house for the first time and they both expect you to clean? He suggested several times that I clean his room.
I would love some advice on overcoming low self-esteem in terms of body image. I have some permenant scarring on my chest and back and I don’t ever feel confident wearing strappy tops and it makes it hard to be intimate with someone new.
I don’t know how to deal with my boyfriend. He is so jealous of my past and can’t deal with the fact that I’ve even had one. Long story short. I left photos on social media of my ex and he asked me to delete them a few times. But he’s a hypocrite because he’s been liking facebook pictures of people he’s slept with and he’s slept with a lot of people! I don’t even care about his past but his paranoia about mine is making me suspicious. He can’t seem to get his head around the fact that I don’t want my my exes back. He’s been going to counselling because he reacts really badly to things when it comes to my ex. He shuts me out – can be up to a week and says really nasty things which then cause me to feel insecure and worried that he might not want me. Help!
I’m in recovery from alcohol addiction – I’m currently 8 months sober. On dates I always have to explain why I don’t drink which always ends up with me rabbling on and giving way too much detail on my recovery. When people say ‘oh one won’t hurt’ I feel like screaming and it puts me off them. What is the right amount to share? Should I really tell a date why I don’t drink?
My friend is quite overweight and she constantly has a very bad odour down there! Other friends that have known her longer than me say that she has smelt like that since school. Whyyy! It’s honestly so bad. I want to help her and tell her but I feel awful. How do I get the message

What is the process of the smear? What can you do if you find vaginal examinations traumatic?
    What is HPV?
My smear test is due next year but I will be living in Abu Dhabi. I have previously had abnormal cells but I don’t know the system over there or whether I trust it completely. Can I get an early test in the UK for this reason?
Can you please talk about pages that promote Yoni detox for purging the vagina? Do they work? Do we need to cleanse internally?
Can your inner lips stretch over time, for example if you pull them to shave or dry yourself?
Is there really a way to tighten the vagina – do exercises really work?
My cousin has had vulva cancer 3 times, what are the chances of me getting it?
