She shares steps she has taken to help her heal this betrayal wound and we also talk about how most women have been sexually abused in one way or another, but might think it was their fault for various reasons.
Sexual abuse and assault is never your fault and we want you to know you are not alone if you've experienced it. It is estimated that 91% of victims of sexual assault are female and speaking up and sharing stories like this is important.

In this episode we talk about the D word we never imagined we'd be talking about...DIVORCE. This is our advice and experience with divorce as single moms, who were both cheated on by our ex-husbands. We discuss first steps, things to be mindful of and ways to stay grounded through the process.
Everyone's experience with divorce will be different, but hopefully some of the information in this episode will help you know your rights and keep as much peace as possible through the process.

In this episode we explore Healthy vs. Unhealthy coping mechanisms. We share the unhealthy ways we use to cope with life, from binge drinking, to not eating, to reacting and responding unregulated, and how over the years we've *mostly* replaced those coping mechanisms with healthier alternatives.
We also touch on how making space and effort to work on implementing healthy coping skills into your life can be beneficial in all areas of life, including co-parenting.
In this episode, Kristin shares her biggest pieces of advice on how she co-parents in a civil and peaceful way with her ex, who cheated on her for an entire year. She also answers a few questions she got on instagram about how to co-parent.
**This episode is only for those who are open to the idea or feel ready to let go of the hurt from their marriage/the affair/ the divorce and move forward in the best way possible for their child(ren) **
To celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Kristin's Divorce Party, we thought we'd talk about divorce parties on this week's episode. What is a divorce party? Should you throw yourself one? Ask your friends to throw it? Or, if you are a friend, should you surprise your friend with a divorce party? And in full transparency, the day of the divorce party was one of the best days ever so we wanted to share how much fun we had in hopes that it will inspire other women to take this new and happy approach to life after divorce.

One thing we emphasize on every Let's Grow Through it podcast episode: Every healing journey will look different. Last week Kristin shared her experience being single and happy after divorce and betrayal. This week, Tessa is sharing the complete opposite experience: how to be in a healthy, happy relationship after coming out of what was most likely the most unhealthy and traumatizing relationship of your life.
In this week's episode Tessa is here to encourage you to believe that if a healthy relationship is what you desire... it is possible...and Kristin is here to share the story about how she will be giving the "you're welcome, you two" speech at their future wedding...and to give Tessa a little best friend shade for breaking the "let's stay single" pact.
Thank you for letting us be a part of your healing journey! We are so grateful and thankful you are here!
