  • 66. Going Through An Identity Crisis

In today’s episode, I share a little about my recent identity crisis. I recently got a new job and I am currently upleveling into this new role. Which is exciting and exhausting. I've spent most of my time on the couch or in bed recovering from it. While I’ve been upleveling I experienced an amazing meditation led by Lindsey Simcek of Almost 30 as part of their podcast accelerator program. During this meditation, I was able to separate my identity from this podcast and I saw it as its own energy. Additionally, I was able to meet so many of my core needs in my job that I realized I didn’t need to keep chasing fame as a way to get my needs met. It was in a free-fall after these two big realizations and I share about the void that was created and what came after it in this episode. Have you experienced something similar???? Please reach out to me, I want to hear about your experience. How did you realize your work, career, project, or art was separate from you?

  • 65. Manifesting an eat, pray, love adventure with Chelsea Riffe

I am so excited for this week’s episode featuring Chelsea Riffe. She is a mindset and podcast coach. Today we go deep on one of my favorite topics, manifestation. She really wanted to start the conversation by defining manifestation, a method to consciously choose what to attract in your life. She shares how she used it to build her business, travel the world, survive the pandemic abroad, and go on an eat, pray, love adventure after a breakup in Germany. She talks about how to keep your mindset open. And of course, we get into a bit of Human Design. She is a reflector and shares how that has influenced her course offerings and how she manifests. She is so fun and I loved every minute of the conversation. Tune in for some super fresh manifestation tips.

  • 64. Healing Relationship Dynamics with Thais Gibson

In today’s episode, I am so excited to share a conversation with my attachment style mentor and coach, Thais Gibson, the co-founder of the Personal Development School. Her work overlaps attachment trauma challenges with personal core wounds, limiting beliefs, and emotional patterns at the subconscious level. Her work has helped me find sustained confidence and blissful inner peace. It sounds so cheesy but it’s really true. Thais shares how she found attachment theory after doing a lot of personal growth and getting into a new relationship where old patterns started to rear up (sound familiar?!). We talk about how attachment theory overlaps other areas of our lives including our relationships to money, career, and spirituality. We then switch gears and talk about personality needs and why it’s so important to know them and share them. I know it sounds basic but this work has been so incredibly impactful on my own growth. We finish the episode with a rapid-fire round of sharing which attachment styles tend to show up in different types of careers. It’s a fun one. It was such an honor to have Thais on the show!

  • 62. Sarah’s Story: Projection City Population One

In this episode, I talk about projection. Look, projection is part of the human experience but I recently realized just how much I have been projecting onto others. In this episode, I talk about a counseling session from 1965 that a friend of mine shared on Youtube. Watching this session made me realize how I bring SO many of my own stories, assumptions, and wounding to every situation I’m in, no matter how neutral the situation is. I share a few specific times recently where I let my projections dictate the truth particularly in social situations and my recent job negotiation. One of the stories running in the back of my mind was if I ask for more money my job will expect more from me. That assumption is setting me up for burnout and failure. I share some pretty embarrassing stories about past projections. And then I finish the episode with a helpful tool from Byron Katie to catch projections in action.

  • 61. Using Human Design to Create Self-Trust with Zsuzi Evans

We are back today with another episode about Human Design. This week’s guest, Zsuzsi Evans, is a Human Design reader that studied with one of the only students directly taught by the founder of Human Design, Ra Uru Hu. Instead of going deeper into the chart, we discuss the larger impact of studying Human Design. Zsuzsi shares how using Human Design cultivates self-trust which ultimately helps us to make decisions. And I give you several hilarious examples of times when I didn’t honor my emotional authority, like giving up a window seat to a child on a cross-country flight. That was the longest six hours of my life. And she shares how her sacral authority has helped her direct her friends and loved ones on how to interact with her, like asking yes or no questions instead of open-ended ones. I love hearing about simple tools to honor my design in day-to-day interactions. Zsuzsi finishes the convo by telling us how society will see a big shift in the Human Design chart starting in 2027. Listen to the episode to learn more about what’s ahead of us.

  • 60. Finding Love With an Anxious Attachment Style with Taryn Newton-Gill

Taryn Newton-Gill is a love guide, women’s empowerment coach, and founder of Truer Love where she uses attachment theory to help women learn to reparent themselves so that they may create more secure, loving, and lasting partnerships. In this episode, we get into all things attachment style. In particular, she talks about why anxious preoccupied people tend to identify as fearful-avoidant. It was fascinating to hear about the different behaviors that show up across the attachment spectrum including anxiety in dismissive avoidants and avoidance in anxious preoccupied. She shares her best tips on how to become securely attached and spoiler alert, it does NOT involve years of trauma work and therapy, it’s actually quite simple. We both share the amazing benefits and transformation we’ve experienced through healing our attachment styles. And Taryn makes this topic fun and approachable.

This week’s episode features Lindsay Mack, the creator of Soul Tarot and host of the Tarot for the Wild Soul podcast. We start the conversation with a tarot card pull and then we discuss life transitions. Lindsay shares about her first trimester of pregnancy and taking a break from recording her podcast. We then talk about how she uses tarot as a tool to support her healing from child abuse and PTSD. The way she uses the tarot is so inspiring. We discuss her Soul Tarot method of the cards being for us and not us so that each card is an insightful gift. We then go on to discuss her approach of inclusivity in her work as well as inclusivity in the tarot. This conversation is very inspiring to look at tarot in a whole new inclusive and gentle way.

  • 58. Sarah's Story - Chasing freedom in my career

This episode is a few musings on what it means to be chasing freedom in my career. Full disclosure I channeled this topic during a recent akashic records reading. I decided to honor the theme that I wrote down through automatic writing and talk about what chasing freedom means to me. Freedom is very important to me. And I recently made some big changes in my life to follow freedom. I talk about these changes including quitting my job, starting two very different businesses, and the unintended consequences of chasing freedom. I finish the episode sharing what freedom means to me now and my next steps to foster freedom in my life. If you’re thinking of making big life changes or you are in the entrepreneur space this episode is for you.
