🔸 A 5 year old exile brought back from a dark place.
- It would rather be relaxing in a mumu
🔸 Whoa! I won’t ruin the suspense but it’s a great one, and only our second call!
- anxious, chest..
- afraid Molly can’t handle it, Will have regrets…
- We can’t see the age at first…
- needs Daily check ins.
🔸 A celebration! An exile she hadn’t met before, unburdened. I say very little in this call. A good template for how to do IFS solo.
- rather be celebrating
- needs daily checkin and go to fun places
🔸 We're way off-script! Starting with tears, and a cacophony of parts vying to be heard. Despite the sadness, fear, doubt, Aizhan communicates with and holds parts.
🔸 "If the sadness comes out, we'll be punished. It's not ok to be sad"... A protector is comfortable being uncomfortable . We try a couple new approaches with a familiar exile, the teen.
🔸 Jo is practitioner! And guess what, I'm nervous! Nervous I might want her to do something differently and not know how to say it, or that I won’t be able to go deep enough because I’ll be focusing on her practitioning. Nervous about losing respect of listeners and peer-workers by sharing these parts of me.
🔸 The most efficient call? Too efficient? The longing sounds exile-y to me, and I’m being more insistent about not going to exiles with first-timers. Thankfully, this isn't our last call.
🔸 Emily has significant IFS experience! She is quick to touch-in to a vulnerable exile part. Still, I encourage her to stay with the protector: the witness.
🔸 A scary clown with sharp teeth in her stomach and shoulders, afraid of the monster. Thinks she’s a teen... We're going in.
