【蒙特梭利小短篇 EP.45】第五發展階段？

「Matrescence」這個很像「adolescence」（青春期）的字，代表女性轉換成母親的過程。這並不是偶然也不是巧合，1970 年代創立這個字的人類學家 Dana Raphael 就是看到「母職轉換」的過程跟與青少年轉換成成人的過程，有極高的雷同。

今天想分享登上美國蒙特梭利學會（American Montessori Society, AMS） 2024-2025 年最新期刊封面的一篇文章。文章作者 Christine Carrig 在哥倫比亞大學上課時認識了「Matrescence」這個概念。Christine 從自己成為四個孩子的母親、與蒙特梭利幼兒發展與教育的背景，而對人類終身發展的角度，理解女性轉換成母親的過程起了極大的興趣……
