If you've been abused by a narcissist, it's not that difficult to understand why you would be afraid to encounter another one. There is a lot of fear about what will happen if you meet someone who has narcissistic personality disorder or high narcissistic traits. 

We do NOT want that to happen to us ever again. So, naturally, we have a lot more hyper vigilance so we can protect ourselves from this kind of emotional and psychological abuse again.

But what most people don't know is that if there isn't a REAL threat...meaning your life is not in danger, often times, the source of your fear is coming from a different place than you expected.
