Join Di & Nicola for a super inspiring episode this week, with the unstoppable Di Westaway. The founder of Wild Women on Top and Coastrek, Di is an Australian gymnast champion, Australian aerobics champion and she holds the world record for the highest handstand, which she did on the top of Mt Ama Dablam in Nepal. As if that wasn’t enough, Di is also an author of 2 books, was awarded an OAM for her services to women’s sport and charitable services, and she’s a mum of 3. Di spends her time inspiring, empowering and motivating women to lead adventurous lives they love and through her mission, has raised nearly $50 million dollars for charity!
In this chat, we hear about the incredible adventure in Argentina that started it all for Di, and how hiking up a mountain with her girlfriend changed her life forever. We talk about the power of female friendship and how having an ambitious goal that you’re doing with a supportive community, can really help women to finally prioritise their own health and wellbeing.
We also chat about the amazing benefits of mother nature, and the way that you can start tuning in to the magic moments in your life.
The best part is, Di shares how much she is loving life in her sixties, and how life (and sex) just keeps getting better and better. This is a positively refreshing and inspiring chat with a woman who makes us all want to keep soaking up every bit of juice in life.

Di and Nicola are joined in the studio by our very own executive producer of podcasts, Mandy Coolen. Mandy shares her story of how she got started in community radio and through persistence, worked her way into commercial radio and became an FM breakfast announcer, before recently moving into the world of podcasts. We have a laugh over Mandy’s stories of the early days in her career and the mistakes she made along the way.
Mandy is also passionate about charity work, having worked at a women’s shelter in between stints in radio and we talk about her upcoming dance for Stars of The Central Coast, raising money for the cancer council. The link to donate is below.
Mandy opens up about life after divorce, the rebellious path she was on after the breakdown of her marriage and what it’s been like falling in love again at 50. And you’ll want to hear us all have a chat and a laugh over what it means to be an ‘appropriate kisser’.
We also reminisce about life in the 80s, from panel van stories, to making mixed tapes and Jane Fonda workouts with leg warmers and all. Packed full of funny stories, we hope this week’s episode has you laughing as much as we were.
