Today’s guest is former AFL Footballer Lance Picioane. Having worn jerseys for Adelaide, Hawthorn, and North Melbourne throughout his days as a professional athlete Lance was somewhat unknowingly battling his own demons around mental health and anxiety which lead him down the slippery slope into substance abuse and suicidality…
These days however, Lance puts his passion into embracing fatherhood and making an impact with his not for profit foundation Love Me Love You, which launched in 2013. An organisation providing support, resources and education for those dealing with substance abuse and mental health challenges.
Big love to Lance for coming on the show and sharing the pieces of himself and his story that hopefully serves as a beacon of hope for anyone who might be in need of a little support right now.
Enjoy!

Look out lads and ladies!
Today I’ve got Australia’s most recognised personal trainer ‘The Commando’ Steve Willis behind the mic to banter about all things life… and hasn’t he lived one of those along the way.
Life in and out of the military, life on and off the TV screen, life as a father, life as a son, life as a multifaceted ever-evolving and deep-thinking human.
It’s not all camo pants, dark sunnies and ‘there are no excuses’ today.
Buckle up and enjoy!

Today I’m speaking with world renowned singing coach Andrew Byrne, creator of 'The Singing Athlete'. Andrew caught my attention, the way he described his principals around athletic training and functional neuroscience. Naturally anything to do with out brain and our body fascinates me so why not drag our vocal chords into the conversation… metaphorically and literally!
Maybe you're the next vocal superstar waiting to be realised... maybe you just need a dab of chilli on the back of your tongue and to stare at the 'hot dog' for a bit to get you warmed up. Don't worry that will all make sense when you tune in.
I found this conversation super interesting and it blew the top off what my perception of learning to sing might entail.
Do ray me fa so la ti do ENJOY!

It's funny how so many of us have some seriously crap stuff to deal with when we're way too young to process it, hey... (and no, not funny 'haha' either) Through having conversations like the one you're about to listen to it's amazing the leaps and bounds we can take towards healing and growth... It's amazing how speaking to someone and realising you're not alone can feel like it changes everything, just like that.
Kyle & Luke are a couple of somewhat hilarious and super fun dudes, who happen to be best mates. They share very different but in some ways similar experiences with their own versions of adversity.
In this episode Kyle and Luke courageously open the door on an honest, emotional and raw conversation around their respective experiences with childhood trauma. Whilst maintaining a jovial, light and often hilarious tone throughout the episode please note that we do discuss sexual trauma and death so listener discretion is advised.
The nature of these conversations as always is to shine a light on hope, healing, love, connection and perspective. These legends really couldn't have gotten a higher mark from me for their efforts there.
Enjoy.

Nat Kringoudis established herself as quite the pioneer around health and wellness. As a doctor of Chinese Medicine and acupuncturist she was somewhat forced into treating hormonal health and fertility by demand. Admitting that (for obvious reasons) it sure wasn't her first choice for a target market, Nat soon grew curious around the gaps between conventional medicine and supporting wellness.
We talk about the journey Nat took around evolving and stepping out of her lane to get educated and informed where she needed to in order to find the seemingly non-existent answers people were seeking. From fasting (always a topic of interest for me) to understanding and working with our cycles to optimise performance, whether that be athletic or cognitive. How we can scaffold around our cycle to perform at times when our body is not primed to do so.
If you're interested in healthy aging, performance and general wellbeing, this episode with Nat is going to be your jam!
Enjoy!

Daniel Sundahl is a paramedic of 18 years and an incredibly talented photo artist. Daniels art draws on the sheer reality of frontline work and through it establishes an undeniable emotional connection. For me when I look at his art, it’s like peering into the souls of frontline workers.
A therapeutic hobby that turned into an outlet not just for Daniel but for those who can connect with and relate to his art.
I loved this chat, once you’ve finished listening be sure to go check out his website and see what I’m raving about.

Bhavi Devchand is an Australian cricketer, coach and podcaster.
She has played at the elite level for a decade (and she's still a kid) and we talk about all things cricket, sport in general, women in sport, performance, conditioning, training, coaching and life. For two different sports (boxing and cricket) I drew a lot of similarities out of this conversation.
Bhavi shares her perspectives and experiences, her ups and her down and the lessons in life that came from doing what she loves at a high level.

Roll With The Punches is where we step into the ring and go toe to toe with the hard sh*t life throws our way.
Hosted by former boxing champ turned strength coach and speaker Tiff Cook, RWTP brings you big conversations with world-class guests about psychology, relationships, trauma, the brain, and the patterns that can make a bloody mess of our lives.
If you're curious about human behaviour, keen to challenge the stories you tell yourself, and want to understand why the hell you do what you do, you're in the right place. Tune in. Tiff's in your corner.
The goal? To question what you've always believed, understand yourself a little better, and turn those aha moments into actual change.
Because knowing better and doing better are two very different things.
And let's be honest... life's gonna keep throwing punches. We may as well learn how to roll with them.
