The Seattle Seahawks announced their 53-man roster on Saturday and the cut that drew the biggest reaction from fans was letting go of Shaquem Griffin. That news paired with the reports that Jadeveon Clowney is heading to the Texans emphasizes Seattle's lack of top talent for putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Mookie Alexander joins the show to offer his thoughts on where the strengths and weaknesses on the roster as well as the fringes of the roster where we could see movement once the season starts. Defensive tackle depth is one area where Seattle is going to have to make a move with only three players at the position now heading into Week 1.

Along with defensive line talent, depth at the left tackle spot and concerns along the offensive line are also going to be areas to watch in 2020. Linebacker, defensive backs and wide receivers are areas that offer the biggest amount of talent on the team and, once Rashaad Penny is healthy, deciding who to cut from the group could be a difficult decision.

After being drafted by the Seattle Seahawks, Russell Wilson is now going into his ninth season as an NFL quarterback. This offseason has been a big one for Wilson as people are suddenly realizing how surprising it is that he doesn't have an MVP vote despite being recognized among the league's best. He's also on the latest cover of Sports Illustrated as Conor Orr had a chance to break down some of those aspects of his game we recognize as "Russell Wilson things." We're closing in on the start of the 2020 NFL season as the Seattle Seahawks wrapped up their second mock game of training camp on Wednesday. Joe Fann of NBC Sports Northwest joins the show to talk about his takeaways from training camp so far and the five offensive weapons that fans should be most excited to see on the field once the season starts. Marquise Blair is getting a lot of attention coming out of Wednesday's mock game after his two interceptions in the box score. There's some draft picks that are getting some hype out of training camp as well. We discuss the best way to try and evaluate the guys we should truly be excited about with no preseason games this year.

The Seahawks along with other teams around the NFL are restricting their beat reporters from giving away information we would usually learn in a regular preseason. For example, it's unlikely we'll get reports of how depth charts are shaping up. But Seattle did release a 16-second video via social media that shows a D.K. Metcalf touchdown. In his post-game press conference,

Russell Wilson mentioned he hit Metcalf on an opening drive touchdown. In the video that was released we can see Ethan Pocic snapping the ball along with Mike Iupati and Duane Brown on the left side of the line. At the end, we see Damien Lewis and Brandon Shell from the right side. Time will tell if this is how it ultimately shakes out. Nathan Santo of the Seahawks Nest Podcast joins the show to talk about some of the stats that were released from the mock game and the latest in the Earl Thomas saga.

The start of the Seattle Seahawks 2020 season is just three weeks away. With no preseason games this year, the Seahawks are having two mock games going into the season to help give players an idea of the routine the should expect on gameday. 

Ben Arthur, Seahawks reporter for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, joins the show to talk about what he's seen in training camp going into the weekend and what he's going to be primarily focused on for the game. He also talks about his takeaways from sitting in on the interviews with Quinton Dunbar and Philip Dorsett on Friday.

Ahead of Day 7 of Seahawks training camp, Pete Carroll was on the podium to take question from the media. With just one more practice before Saturday's mock game, Carroll talked about how the team is working through trying to find the right combination of five players along the offensive line.  He also talked about the mentality he expects from his Seahawks cornerback and the main thing he wants them to try and avoid. One of the Seahawks wide receivers got a lot of hype from Coach Carroll during the press conference, saying that this particular player is the fastest guy he's had on the team during his time with the Seahawks.

The areas of biggest concerns for the Seahawks going into the 2020 season is the offensive and defensive lines. Those are the two areas Head Coach Pete Carroll spent most of the time addressing with his meeting with the media on Monday before practice. Carroll gave some injury updates for players who have been sitting out of practice like Poona Ford, Jarran Reed, Freddie Swain and David Moore. Duane Brown sat out for veteran rest and offered Cedric Ogbuehi some needed snaps with the first team offense. Carroll also talked about the dynamic between Bruce Irvin and Benson Mayowa who were the Seahawks two biggest offseason acquisitions to help with the pass rush.

Tyler Lockett met with the media for the first time on Friday. He talked about how the offseason has been transformative for him. With a selfless group of wide receivers, he thinks this year's group is going to be something special. The duo of Lockett and D.K. Metcalf, a tandem that nearly put up a combined 2,000 yards last season, has the potential to become the first two since 1995 to top that franchise mark. Lockett also talks about how his family has been impacted by the virus in the offseason and what was behind his hesitation to play this season.
