Seahawks Forever w/ Dan Viens

The Seattle Seahawks beat the Carolina Panthers 37-27 at Lumen Field in Seattle Sunday. And while it wasn't always pretty, there were plenty of things to like about the performance of this young team.

My 5 takeaways plus some honorable mention highlight the positives to come out of this week 3 matchup as the Seahawks improve to 2-1 on the season.

**Devon Witherspoon is legit!!

**How's that rebuilt defensive front looking?

**The run game shows up in a big way! (2-headed monster incoming?!)

And much more on Jason Myers, the offensive line, and just how well Geno Smith is playing through 3 games.

Jeff Rickard of WFNZ in Charlotte, NC joins me today to give us an inside look at the Carolina Panthers as they get set to take on the Seahawks at Lumen Field Sunday in Seattle. Jeff shares up-to-date intel and insight on this rebuilding Panthers squad.

**Is first overall pick QB Bryce Young going to play? Or will it be the veteran Andy Dalton as Young deals with an ankle injury.

**If Dalton, does he give Carolina a better chance to pull off a win?

**What's the main issues plaguing the Panthers offense so far?

**Defensively, how will Carolina account for the loss of their "spiritual leader" Shaq Thompson?

**Will Brian Burns play?

**How has former undrafted WSU LB Frankie Luvu developed into a budding star?

All this and MUCH MORE......

This week I'm joined by Chris Perfett of the Pride of Detroit podcast to break down this young, dynamic and up-coming Lions team.

They're JUICED coming off their season-opening win over the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs, and now they get to host the Seattle Seahawks in their home opener in front of a raucous, sold out crowd.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks limp into week 2 with major injury concerns and question marks all around after their dismal performance in the second half of their opening-week 30-13 loss to the Rams.

Chris gets us up to speed on which players to watch, and what the keys might be for the Lions as they take on the Seahawks Sunday at 10:00am PST.

**Has the NFL passed Pete Carroll by?

**Who's to blame for this performance?

**Should we have seen this coming?

**What now? Can it be fixed?

The Rams shocked the Seahawks today in Seattle, rolling them to the tune of a 30-13 win. Here's my RAPID REACTION including thoughts on....

**Did we overestimate this roster?

**Is it a talent issue, or coaching?

**Are the Rams better than we thought, or was this the ultimate flat performance?

**Who's to blame? Which players were no-shows, and why was it so much worse in the second half?

**Was this just one bad performance, or a bigger issue?

**What now? Can this team turn it around in time to compete in Detroit vs. the Lions next week?

For this one I'm joined by Jake Ellenbogen, who does such an outstanding job covering all things LA Rams, as the Seahawks get set to host their division rival at Lumen Field on Sunday.

A lot of these Rams names may not be familiar to you, and they'll be without star WR Cooper Kupp for this week 1 matchup, but some of the things Jake says about this young LA roster may give you pause before you go chalking this up as an easy win for your Seahawks.
