Seahawks Forever w/ Dan Viens

The Seahawks released their first depth chart of the regular season in advance of their opener against the Rams this Sunday.

What does it tell us, and what questions still remain unanswered?

The Seattle Seahawks pulled off a major coup on Wednesday, claiming rookie ILB Drake Thomas on waivers after he was released by the Raiders (who wanted him back BADLY). Did they just find their future starting middle linebacker? One scouting source I talk to thinks so, and I'll share his report on Thomas in this episode.

Also.... the Seahawks filled out their 16-player practice squad. What do I like about it, and what do I think is still missing?

Plus, the latest on Seahawks injuries and how the roster may change yet again before they play the Rams in week 1.

Surprises? Upsets? Shockers?

Who's in and who's out for the Seahawks as they set their official 53-man roster..... for now.

Much can change between now and tomorrow but I'll share my immediate thoughts to the group we see on the teams roster today.

Brian Nemhauser of HawkBlogger and Real Hawk Talk fame joins me to provide his insight into the Seahawks roster as the team gets set to pare down from 90 players to 53 on Tuesday.

So many nuggets from Brian!

**Who's his pick to grab that final WR spot?

**An upset at OLB/EDGE! A big(ish) name gets cut!

**Concerns along the defensive line, is a big trade coming?

**Clarity finally coming at the CB position

**Could the Seahawks win with Drew Lock?

**How much (if any) ground has Seattle made up on the 49ers?

And much more!!!!

The Seahawks finish the preseason 2-1 after losing to Green Bay at Lambeau Field today 19-15.

I'll give you my immediate thoughts on the game, most notably which young players made statements in their efforts to earn a roster spot before the cut to 53 on Tuesday.

It's roster projection time! Days before the Seahawks final preseason game in Green Bay I give you my best guess as to how I think they'll set their roster, sprinkled in with a little of what I think they SHOULD do.

But wait, there's more! Adam Emmert, co-host of the SeaHawkers Pod, will join me to give me his thoughts on what I've proposed as he sees my list for the first time.

**Where does he agree, disagree with me?

**What are the biggest problem areas on the roster, and do the Seahawks need to look outside the organization to bring in reinforcements?

**How does the injury to Jaxon Smith-Njigba affect the WR room?

**Which UDFA's make the cut, and how many?

**A long-time veteran who may be in jeopardy of missing the final cut.

And more!

Seahawks standout rookie WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba has a broken wrist and is having surgery on it today. Details will be more clear once the procedure has been completed but in the meantime....

**What are the worst and best-case scenarios? Doctors weigh in, and the range is WIDE.

**Who steps up on the current roster?

**If the Seahawks pursue another WR from outside the roster, who might be able to help?

On the eve of the Seattle Seahawks second preseason game vs. Dallas, I share my thoughts on where the roster stands as we head into the final few weeks before the start of the regular campaign.

**Which position groups are "set"

**Which positions make me want to see more

**Which position group still concerns me, greatly (I'm sure you can guess).

Plus a teaser for a big announcement coming next week!

Sanjit T. from The Football Scout YouTube channel brings his expert analysis of the Seahawks offensive line to the show today

**Charles Cross and Abe Lucas one of the top OT tandems in the league?

**Lucas about to be a STAR?

**Damien Lewis about to get PAID?

**Who's the leader in the center battle right now?

**Assessing the O-line's depth, or lack of it.

**And a surprising UDFA Sanjit thinks can be a factor in the future.
