One of the underrated aspects of the Seahawks going into this season is the amount of competition along the defensive line. The mixture of veteran talent, emerging young players and players looking to bounce back is one that could surprise people outside of Seattle. Defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. spoke to the media following practice on Tuesday and put the spotlight on a few different areas of the defense. With a full offseason of work, Norton says we can expect a more balanced player from Jamal Adams in 2021.

One of the first free agent acquisitions this offseason was former Rams tight end Gerald Everett. His familiarity with Seahawks new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and combination of size and speed have him pegged as a potential breakout candidate this season. Pete Carroll and DK Metcalf spoke to the media after practice on Monday and both had very positive things to say about Everett, who is going into his fifth NFL season. Carroll also offered thoughts about linebacker Cody Barton and how the addition of Sean Mannion may not be competition for the spot behind Russell Wilson.

As the first week of training camp concluded, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll spoke to the media for the second time and new pass rusher Aldon Smith made his first appearance. Dee Eskridge is dealing with a toe injury and there is no set date on when he might be available for the team. Rashaad Penny, however, sounds as though he's healthy and in great shape through the first week of training camp. Carroll also responded to Duane Brown's participation in training camp as the team taking measures to help preserve and extra wear and tear on the veteran left tackle.

Two members of the Seattle Seahawks spoke to the media on Thursday following training camp. Bobby Wagner spoke about what it was like being without KJ Wright for the first time and remarked about how "interesting" it was that Wright remains unsigned. He also had some thoughts about the news of the Seahawks having so many vaccinated players. Rashaad Penny is entering the final year of his contract and spoke about his opportunity to pair back up with Chris Carson for another season.

We heard from Pete Carroll on Wednesday for the first time since mini camp. Jamal Adams is in training camp, but it sitting out while recovering from his offseason surgeries and negotiating a new contract. The Seahawks top pick Dee Eskridge is on the PUP list and isn't expected to be on the field now for a couple of weeks. Pete also address questions surrounding Richard Sherman and talked about the areas on the team where he sees the biggest position battles.

The Arizona Cardinals come into the 2021 season with some of the biggest veteran signings. They've added J.J. Watt and Malcolm Butler on defense and Rodney Hudson and A.J. Green on offense among others.  Johnny Venerable from Revenge of the Birds joins the show to talk about whether or not it will be enough for the Cardinals to compete for a top spot in the division. Expectations are high with Kyler Murray in his third year and DeAndre Hopkins as one of the NFL's best receivers. If the Cardinals fall short of the playoffs, it could mean the final year for Kliff Kingsbury in Arizona.

The Los Angeles Rams made one of the biggest moves of the offseason, unloading Jared Goff to the Lions and acquiring Matt Stafford. Rich Hammond of the Athletic joins the show to talk about how the Rams continue to be in win now mode and if Stafford can be the quarterback to help lead the team into the 2021 playoffs. There were questions about health issues and depth at the running back spot even before the injury to Cam Akers, That could lead an already pass happy McVay to stray away from a balanced offense this season.
