Bobby Wagner is now officially a member of the Los Angeles Rams. Did the Seahawks even try to keep him around? Should they have tried or is there no threshold for determining which players should be allowed to retire with the team? One player the Seahawks seem to be content on keeping around is wide receiver DK Metcalf. Considering the salaries are skyrocketing at the position, would it be worthwhile to trade Metcalf now and add more draft capital to rebuild? The Seahawks may instead consider him a building block for the team moving forward.

The NFL's annual league meetings were this past week. Pete Carroll met with the media to take questions about the Seahawks offseason and talked about how the Seahawks are feeling about the competition at quarterback. Carroll praised Drew Lock and said that Geno Smith is expected to return to the team, but they are also "still in the quarterback business." The Seahawk coach talked about the depth on the offensive line, categorizing the center position as "loaded," and responded to questions about the potential of trading DK Metcalf.

The NFL is holding its annual meetings and they decided to make a change to the overtime rules based on some of the pressure from fans following the Bills loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Did what happened in that game warrant a rule change or does the new rule recognize a continued shift in how the NFL places a premium on the importance of offense? Bobby Wagner met with the Ravens and Rams but still doesn't have a team. Are some of the new signings going to help this team more than what Wagner has meant to the Seahawks franchise? Finally, we talk DK Metcalf and why a potential trade should be off the table when it comes to one of the most talented players left on the team.

The Seattle Seahawks were active around the start of the NFL's new league year in picking up players on both the offensive and defensive line. Quinton Jefferson is a familiar face and he talked about how he'd been watching the play of some of his former teammates and how he's looking forward to reuniting with Clint Hurtt. Austin Blythe is joining his third team in three years, but is also reuniting with some familiar coaches. Drew Lock, who came to Seattle in the Russell Wilson trade, talked about getting a fresh start and how he learned how to be a point guard at the quarterback spot from Teddy Bridgewater last season.

Three Seattle Seahawks free agents who made the decision to remain with the team this offseason were on the podium this past week. Rashaad Penny talked about why Seattle was the place he told his agent that he wanted to be, Quandre Diggs talked about why he thinks the Seahawks aren't rebuilding, and Sidney Jones shared his thoughts on some of the changes defensively this upcoming year.

Three offseason topics on tap today for the Seattle Seahawks and free agency continues. First up, we discuss the latest press conference with Drew Lock and our confidence level in him based on some of the things he said when speaking to the media. Rashaad Penny is back with the team. Can he stay healthy and break 1,000 yards rushing in a season with what Seattle has for an offensive line? Finally, based on the moves in free agency so far, is this a Seahawks team that is trying to win in 2022 or coast with a mindset of building for the future?

Pete Carroll and John Schneider made historic moves this past week with the decisions to move on from the two best players at their respective positions in franchise history. Quarterback Russell Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos for draft picks and three players while Bobby Wagner was released to become a free agent. The two responded to questions about where the team could look to for a quarterback or if Drew Lock has the potential to lead the team to a championship.

After statements came out Wednesday afternoon that showed exactly where the Seahawks was placing blame with regard to the decision to move on from Russell Wilson, the team's head coach and general manager met with Seattle area media. We react to the state meets from Pete Carroll and John Schneider and some of their answers primarily focusing on the quarterback, but also their comments around the release of Bobby Wagner since we all share in some of the blame of how he was notified.

There were several Seahawks free agents announcing their return to Seattle on the first day of free agency. Most notable was the signing of Quandre Diggs who will be an important part of maintaining the culture on defense. Russ is gone. Blame it on the Shane? No, blame it on Russ. Clinton talks about some of the tea-leaves that should have been a clue that Russ was maneuvering to exit stage left. Given the free agent market and potential draft picks (and with Watson seemingly not interested) - where do the Seahawks go from here? Finally, the return of Ol' Thigh Arms to Seattle.
