Join Amanda Wakeley as she is joined by a different celebrity guest each week as she uncovers their very own Style DNA.
This week's guest is Ella Vaday - I always knew that I wanted to include a Drag Artist in this first series. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to the brilliant and very modest Ella Vaday (say Hell Of A Day fast and you will understand the humour behind the name), AKA Nick Collier, the actor and dancer. Nick created his drag persona Ella Vaday during Lockdown and then went on to be a finalist on the third series Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK. We had a fascinating conversation about the transformative process Nick goes through, his attention to detail and his passion for getting the proportions right… think about it…if you have a huge wig and broad shoulders there is quite a skill in getting the proportions to balance. Nick kindly agreed to come as Ella and I was transfixed from the moment she walked through the door… I hope that comes across in our conversation.
