‘I firmly believe nothing is ever lost or nothing is ever wasted in life that we go through. And I think by hitting rock bottom, and pulling myself out of it, it has shown me just exactly what I am actually capable of. I think it’s the darker parts of being human, that when we are brave enough, and we have the courage to go there and then move through it and pull ourselves out of it, it actually shows us the capacity we have as a human being. And that’s what I learnt. But I think we also actually need that moment of realisation that we are the ones that have got ourselves locked in that prison, that prison of our mind, but we are the only ones that can get ourselves out of it, and we are the ones that have to become aware of it first too.’ ~ Brionie Jurd
Brionie Jurd is a Coach, certified Master Practitioner of NLP, Clinical Hypnotherapist, also trained in a number of psychotherapy techniques, mindset work, emotional regulation and somatic release work. Going from being a chronically fatigued, burnt out high-achieving engineer, she now does a lot of 1:1 coaching, as well as running workshops and seminars with her husband to help others live their best life, revolutionise their relationship and step into their individual power.
She has a long history in personal development, spiritual, emotional, mindset and holistic health work that started around 19 years ago with her own journey of healing herself from chronic fatigue and other health issues, getting her fitness and physical health back on track and thriving, improving her mental health significantly and pursuing and stepping into her life purpose of helping others overcome their own challenges and step into being their best version of themselves.
Before launching into her coaching business full time, she spent nearly 19 years in the biomedical corporate space, with experience in engineering product development, education, research, marketing and clinical services in various regional and global leadership roles.
Brionie is passionate about helping others step into their power, grow their confidence and self-belief, find their passions and purpose, and ultimately create and live the life they may only dream is even possible..
Brionie runs her coaching business with her husband, Rob, and she has two boys who have grown up ensconced in, and open to, the work they do.
Her definition of Self Love is starting with accepting ourselves in each and every moment of what we are feeling and what we are experiencing. It is self-compassion, recognising how we are feeling that we can discern what we need as an action of self-love. It is living from our heart as much as possible. It is healing ourselves. Self-love is giving ourselves permission to be all we can be and not live life small.
Her favourite quote is from Henry Ford:
‘Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you are right.’

The Work of Byron Katie is meditation. It is a method of enquiry born directly out of her experience. The practice allows you to access the wisdom that always exists within you. In this podcast I give a brief overview of the work including; What is is, Staying in your own business, Putting your mind on paper and The 4 Questions.
Here is an excerpt from her book.
The Work of Byron Katie is a way to identify and question the thoughts that cause all the suffering in the world. It is a way to find peace with yourself and with the world. Anyone with an open mind can do this Work.
Byron Kathleen Reid became severely depressed while in her thirties. Over a ten-year period her depression deepened, and for the last two years Katie (as she is called) was seldom able to leave her bedroom. Then one morning, from the depths of despair, she experienced a life-changing realization. Katie saw that when she believed her thoughts she suffered, and that when she didn’t believe her thoughts she didn’t suffer. What had been causing her depression was not the world around her, but what she believed about the world around her. In a flash of insight, she saw that our attempt to find happiness was backward—instead of hopelessly trying to change the world to match our thoughts about how it “should” be, we can question these thoughts and, by meeting reality as it is, experience unimaginable freedom and joy.
As a result, a bedridden, suicidal woman became filled with love for everything life brings. Katie developed a simple yet powerful method of inquiry, called The Work, that showed people how to free themselves. Her insight into the mind is consistent with leading-edge research in cognitive neuroscience.
Katie’s most important books are Loving What Is, which was written with her husband, the distinguished writer Stephen Mitchell, and has been translated into thirty-five languages; I Need Your Love—Is That True? (with Michael Katz); A Thousand Names for Joy (with Stephen Mitchell); and A Mind at Home with Itself (with Stephen Mitchell). Her other books are Question Your Thinking, Change the World; Who Would You Be Without Your Story?; Peace in the Present Moment (selections from Byron Katie and Eckhart Tolle, with photographs by Michele Penn); and A Friendly Universe, illustrated by Hans Wilhelm. Her books for children are Tiger-Tiger, Is It True? and The Four Questions, both illustrated by Hans Wilhelm.
Here are the four questions. Some people print them from a free template available at thework.com or buy The Work App to keep sanity close at hand.
1. Is it true? (Yes or no. If no, move to question 3.)
Turn the statement around to the self, to the other, and to the opposite. Then find at least three specific, genuine examples of how each turnaround is as true as or truer than the original statement.

“Sometimes we use the Mother-Guilt as an excuse, but there’s no reason why we can’t have it all. Like, there really isn’t a reason why we can’t have it all. And to be able to do business and what we want to do in our life well, and be able to be beautiful mum’s as well. And I think it’s great to be able to show your kids that you are doing something that is purposeful in life and for them to see that, to see you live a life of passion.”
Rebecca Miller is a coach, mentor, speaker, multiple business owner, retreat host and Mumma of 3 beautiful children Lockie, Toby and Izzy, her driving force behind everything she does.
Rebecca contagious think big attitude accompanied by her down to earth personality has propelled her inspiring journey of leadership since starting out as a solo therapist in her home town of Parkes to building her empire of 3 skin and beauty Clinics in 3 locations (LA BELLA MEDISPA) and a team of over 25 therapist. Rebecca wanted to bring world class treatment modalities and skin care to regional and rural women, to create a space for these women to visit to not just have the best treatment and services but to create a space where they could be nurtured and leave feeling more self love and confident.
Rebecca’s passion has always been developing her teams not just professionally but personally to create a work place for these passionate women to thrive and grow and feel fulfilled.
The winner of countless awards including Australian Clinic of the year, Business leader multiple times, Australian team of the year and just recently humanitarian of the year for her beautiful work in her foundation The Ripple of kindness project.
Rebecca now helps salon owners’ step into their leadership powers to create the team the business and life they love with a growth and abundant mindset along with hosting beautiful retreats “becoming limitless” for women to come and spend some time finding themselves again, to heal to push through limitations holding them back and have some time and space to connect with what’s important to them.
Rebecca is only getting started on her quest to help women love themselves for them to see everything they need is inside them to find their joy and happiness and live a life by design not by default and this all starts by self love…. As women we can have it all purposeful work and family and do both really well
Her definition of Self Love is…
I used to think it was a bubble bath and having a facial and yes, they’re acts of self-love. But there is so much more to self-love. It’s truly loving yourself… the good, the bad and the ugly, and having a level of acceptance of every part of you. To really have forgiveness and not looking back in anger. Look to the future with aspirations and live more in the moment. It is knowing we are so worthy of a beautiful life and we can create it with awareness, acceptance, trust self-esteem and self-care. The more I love, I care, I accept and the more awareness that I have that I can be the mum, a better wife business owner and can show up as a better human. Self-love is everything. The more we can love ourselves the more we can love others.
Her favourite quote is:
Behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women who have her back.

Neroli is steam distilled from the orange blossom flower of the Bitter Orange tree. The tree produces three different essential oils – from the rind of the fruit come Orange essential oil; from the leaves comes Petitgrain essential oil, and from the small yet fragrant white blossoms comes Neroli. The Bitter Orange Tree is an evergreen that has dark leaves, small dark fruit and lovely white blossoms.
The sweet scent reaches deep into the soul to help us stabilise or regenerate. If your feeling hopeless or lost about a longstanding situation and there is tension and exhaustion, call upon Neroli to be your aromatic support. When we are easily angered, Neroli brings hopes to shift our mood to a more relaxed state, and it helps us to experience life with joy and a sense of calmness. Neroli is like a diamond providing light and reducing the emptiness. She offers the gift of strength and courage and helps us to see beauty in life.
Neroli is a great oil for every skin type, and is wonderful to use on inflammed and sensitive skin. It is soothing and calming to the skin, and is also known to help promote new cell growth and regeneration.
Not only can we use the flowers to make the oil, but we can also use the waters from the distillation which is known as orange flower water or orange blossom water. It is quite a popular cosmetic ingredient – a spritz of the Neroli water is wonderful in the afternoon for pick me up.
With Neroli like most essential oils less is more we don’t want to overstimulate and nervous systems so one or two drops is all you need. A 5ml bottle of Neroli will last for a long time so it is well worth the investment.

‘We pretend, or maybe we just don’t know how to feel those other ‘bad emotions’. We don’t want to feel them, we don’t know how to feel them, we don’t know what we’re feeling, and it’s a real challenge. And we do say, ‘Yeah I’m good’, ‘Yeah I’m ok’, but in my experience everyone’s got something there on their chest that they need to get off. Everyone’s got some guilt and shame they’re carrying around that they don’t need to. Everyone’s got some sort of unworthiness issue, some element of being alone, and I could see that really clearly coming out the other side of that time when Jacko was 18 months. And I was like, we need to do something about this.’ ~ Sam Parker

“There’s people coming into Greensmiths at all different stages of their journey and food and look, I really believe that the food that we are eating, we have just totally lost touch with where our food comes from and connecting with our food and buying things pre-made, pre-chopped, pre-packaged, pre-everything… and I really believe that healing and health starts with the food that you nourish yourself with. The way you prepare it, the way you love it, the way you appreciate it, and not just picking it up to eat to get full, it’s about enjoying that whole process.” ~ Jess Holdsworth
Thanks to her amazing upbringing with a very wholistic mother, Jess Holdsworth was blessed to grow up around nourishing food and organic farms, which meant organic, local and natural foods have always just been a part of who she is. Always curious and interested, even when she returned from overseas at 20years of age, after she had side-tracked somewhat, she found herself coming back to her roots. In this amazing podcast you will hear how important this way of being is for our health, wellbeing and our beautiful planet.
Jess Holdsworth’s first venture into the organic food industry was in Kiama where she saw a gap in the market to establish Heart and Sol Organics, a place where locals could buy organic products.
Jess has extensive experience running her own retail businesses and over the last eight years has expanded into organic manufacturing and importing with her own organic food company, Love My Earth.
Together Uwe and Jess are leaders in the organic food industry and are proud to be working closely to bring the Sunshine Coast community the best organic, local and natural products.
The Greensmith refers to the maker, the grower, the creator. The name Greensmith Grocers pays tribute to the roots and fruits of labour from the team to bring a standard of real food to the people.
Jess said being able to bring Greensmith Grocers to life was a lifelong passion coming to fruition.
Her definition of Self Love is:
For me self-love is taking time each day to look after myself. I know what it’s like to not be well or bit be in balance, and I know that is not how I want to live my life. I have always needed to experience the learnings myself. I know what it means to love myself, which is waking up every morning walking the beach, having cup of tea in bed with my wife and dog. It is gifting myself something that brings me joy every day.
Her final message is don’t wait to live the life that your heart truly desires, there is no time but this time. It’s time for us to step into the joy and trueness of our life. Just do it. Don’t be scared. Keep walking, believing and educating yourself and you will never look back.

With so much to achieve and aspire to, we can often wonder how we are going to fit it all in. It might not be about time management but more about sheer will and determination to get things done in certain time frames that gets you through each day. But one thing is for sure, using some form of calendar, making time allocation spots in that calendar and adhering to the time set is where magic can happen.
Time management is good structure

Everyone deserves the life they want. A great life does not mean being a movie star or lotto millionaire, it just means being happy with who you are and what you have achieved, having positive relationships with the people you love and being able to pursue your dreams and goals. But sometimes life throws a curve ball and we need to reset and focus on what we want, now what we don’t want!
