In this episode of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I’m talking about one of the most important and life-changing moments in recovery: making the decision to stop drinking.
You can’t have your cake and eat it too when it comes to addiction and wanting more for yourself. Sobriety starts with a single choice, a decision that you’re no longer available for the chaos, pain, and false comfort alcohol brings.
I share what that decision looked like for me, how to know when you’re ready, and what shifts once you finally commit.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to decide.

In this episode of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I sit down with Jen Elizabeth, writer, speaker, trauma educator, harm reduction advocate, and founder of Resurrektion of Me, to talk about harm reduction, recovery, and healing from trauma.
Jen shares her powerful story of addiction and recovery, how she found freedom through harm reduction, and why compassion and education are essential for supporting people in every stage of recovery. We also discuss breaking the stigma, redefining recovery language, and how to create a space for people wherever they are in their journey.
Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all and harm reduction is proof that meeting people where they are can save lives and create hope.

In this episode of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I’m answering a listener question that so many people experience in recovery: what happens when you stop getting invited after you quit drinking?
It can hurt when friends or family stop including you, but it’s also an opportunity to see who truly supports your growth. I share my own experiences and perspective on why this happens, how to cope with the loneliness that can come with it, and a few mindset shifts that helped me make peace with this part of sobriety.
Remember: when some doors close, it’s only to make space for better ones to open with people who love you for who you are, not for what’s in your glass.

It’s Livin on the El-Ledge week — the show within the Sober Vibes Podcast!
In this episode, my sister Kimberly Elledge is joined by her best friend, Katie Mack, for a real, raw, and laughter-filled conversation about what it’s like to be the best friend of someone struggling with addiction.
Katie shares her experience supporting Kim through addiction and recovery, what she learned, what she got wrong, and how friendship evolves through healing. Together, they talk about what true support looks like, setting boundaries with love, and how recovery can actually deepen relationships instead of breaking them.
This one’s full of wisdom, humor, and heart — because friends are often part of the recovery story too.

In this emotional and inspiring episode of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I sit down with Eve Goldberg, founder of BIGVISION, to talk about loss, purpose, and how she turned unimaginable grief into hope for others.
Eve shares her story of losing her 23-year-old son, Isaac, to an accidental drug overdose, and how that heartbreak led her to create BIGVISION, a thriving sober community in New York City that helps young adults in recovery build meaningful, fun, and substance-free lives.
We discuss the power of community, the importance of living a sober lifestyle, and how Eve continues to honor Isaac’s memory by helping others find connection and joy in recovery.
This episode is a heartfelt reminder that even in the darkest moments, purpose and healing can emerge and that recovery is not just about surviving, but truly living.

In this episode of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I open up about my six-year journey with IVF and what it looked like to stay sober through one of the most challenging experiences of my life.
Infertility and IVF come with emotional ups and downs that can easily trigger old habits or coping mechanisms, but I share how I chose to stay present, grounded, and alcohol-free through it all. I talk about what helped me stay connected to my recovery, why drinking was never the solution, and how emotional sobriety played a huge role in my strength during this time.
Sobriety doesn’t mean life gets easier; it means you get stronger, wiser, and more capable of handling life’s hardest moments with clarity and grace.
If you’re going through something difficult right now, this episode is your reminder that you can walk through the fire and stay true to your healing.

In this episode of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I sit down with Craig Pothier, creator of Mind Uncaged, to discuss one of the most important and often misunderstood aspects of recovery: depression in sobriety.
Craig shares his personal story of addiction and recovery, what inspired him to start Mind Uncaged, and how he’s using his platform to raise awareness about mental health in the sober community. We dive into what it feels like to face depression without alcohol as a coping tool, and how to manage those heavy emotions in healthy, sustainable ways.
Sobriety doesn’t make life perfect, but it gives you the clarity and courage to face what’s real and begin to heal.
If you’ve ever felt the weight of depression in your sober journey, this conversation is your reminder that you’re not alone and that healing happens when we keep showing up for ourselves.

It’s a solo dolo week on the Sober Vibes Podcast!
In this episode, I’m sharing exactly how I overcame alcohol cravings, the one tip that helped me the most in my eight years of sobriety. Cravings can sneak up at the most random times, and learning how to respond to them instead of reacting is key to staying sober long-term.
I talk about what cravings really mean, how to manage them in the moment, and why they tend to pop up even after months (or years) of being alcohol-free. This is a must-listen if you’ve ever felt stuck in that back-and-forth cycle of “I want a drink, but I don’t want to drink.”
Remember: cravings are temporary, but the pride you’ll feel for staying strong lasts forever.

The Elledge sisters are back for Season Two of Livin on the El-Ledge, the show within the Sober Vibes Podcast!
In this episode, my sister Kimberly Elledge and I talk about something every person in recovery will experience at some point: sobriety burnout. When the excitement fades and staying sober starts to feel heavy or routine, it can be hard to keep your energy and motivation up.
We share what burnout has looked like for both of us, how to recognize the signs before it spirals out of control, and our favorite ways to break through it with grace, self-compassion, and humor (because you know we can’t have a serious conversation without laughing at least once).
If you’ve been feeling tired, uninspired, or disconnected in your sobriety, this episode will remind you that it’s normal and temporary. You can reignite your spark again.
We’d love to hear from you! Email or message us on social media if there’s a topic you’d like us to cover in a future Living on the El-Ledge episode.
