As we are heading into the 2021 holiday season, we are still living in a world full of supply chain disruptions. Earlier this week, we hit a new record. Between Long Beach and Los Angeles, there were more than 100 ships carrying over a half a million shipping containers stuck off the coast of Southern California. It's clear the pandemic created a cascading disruption that has impacted supply chains at their most vulnerable points. As supply chain constraints abound new opportunities emerge. Join us in this TEKTOK episode on Supply Chain Now, as supply chain expert, Dr. Glenn Richey with Auburn University explains consumer issues ahead of the 2021 holidays and busy shopping season.

Of all the initiatives to grab the headlines over the last two years, none has united the global business community like the call for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). For procurement and supply chain teams, supplier diversity presents an opportunity to make an immediate difference in traditionally underrepresented communities and to ensure that their commitment stands the test of time.
supplier.io recently competed their comprehensive annual study of supplier diversity programs across industries and from newly launched programs to those that have been in place for over a decade. Their 2021 State of Supplier Diversity Report not only captures the passion of the moment, but it also reflects trends dating back to 2017.
One of the most compelling findings of the 2021 report is that the number of new supplier diversity programs has skyrocketed. In fact, there was a 60% increase in representation from programs less than three years old. These new programs bring with them fresh enthusiasm and a previously unseen level of executive support.
In this episode of Dial P for Procurement, Neeraj Shah, CEO of supplier.io, answers live questions about the current state of supplier diversity and what will be needed to drive towards a results-oriented future:
- How companies can turn intent into action in a way that promotes competitive advantages and collaborative partnerships with a diverse array of suppliers.
- Why measurement and reporting are so critical to supplier diversity programs’ ability to deliver results and grow meaningfully year over year
- What the most mature programs are doing to continue expanding their impact, including going global, pushing into tier 2 of the supply chain, and investing in supplier development

Let's talk about an organization called Feed the Hungry. It's a pretty self-explanatory name - but there's nothing simple about feeding 380,000 children all over the world ... every day. It takes passion, organization and a lot of coordination to keep partnerships with 23 countries up and running, but guests Julie Reusser and Roger Walterhouse make it look easy. Join co-hosts Enrique Alvarez and Kristi Porter as they sit down with the two for a fascinating discussion on why there's more than one definition of poverty, what led Julie and Roger to Feed the Hungry, the importance of fortified foods - and how the organization is going above and beyond to feed the poor and hungry while empowering the church.

Many companies were affected by the pandemic, but none were impacted as positively as Peloton. With everyone stuck in their homes overnight, the Peloton fitness community became a healthy lifeline to many, even though they were early in their own growth journey. And while their digital content is easily streamable via a number of devices, there still had to be an effective physical supply chain to get bikes and treads into consumers’ homes.
Jennifer McKeehan is Peloton’s Head of Global Supply Chain. She has more than 15 years’ experience in retail e-commerce supply chain operations and has been featured in Atlanta Business Journal's 40 under 40 program as well as Georgia Tech's first 40 under 40 program.
In this interview, Jennifer shares her journey and enthusiasm with Scott Luton and special guest host Allison Giddens, President of Win-Tech:
- The importance of embracing and identifying with the corporate culture of any company where you hope to be successful
- Why being vertically integrated has been both a blessing and a curse for Peloton as they try to scale their business and deliver against individual member promises at the same time
- How the hybrid work environment is allowing the best leaders to shine by continuing to build strong, meaningful relationships – even at a distance

Interlife™. The Internet of Space. eSIM. MEID.
No, these are not terms plucked from a science fiction novel. Instead, they're the key concepts defining the future of security for the telecommunications supply chain. In this episode, host Kevin L. Jackson sits down with three technology pioneers, Dustin McIntire, Eric Adolphe and Joshua Pendrick, to discuss new approaches to establishing trust and provenance within a supply chain that is increasingly both digital and physical. As AI arrives at the edge, SIM cards become eSIM services, the Interlife overlays digital and physical spatial elements, and MEIDs acquire NFTs, both the private and public sector face exciting new prospects for tracking the entire lifecycle of products - with all the metadata they might need. Don't miss this chance to peek into the future of enhanced connectivity - and figure out why Burger King might just be our best philosophical guide along the way.

Back in the ‘old normal’ of two years ago, all a companies needed to be strategic about their shipping was a BI solution and a few targeted metrics to focus on. That would carry them through the year. Now, however, everything is constantly in flux – from metrics to performance targets to the network itself.
Nate Endicott is the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Alliances at RateLinx. They take a consultative approach to helping companies ship, track, and pay better through an emphasis on quality, integrated data. They understand that finding the right combination of carriers is absolutely essential – now more than ever.
In this episode, Nate discusses the major supply chain trends as he sees them with Scott Luton and special guest Cathy Morrow Roberson, Founder and President of Logistics Trends & Insights:
- Why analytics and diverse partnerships are essential for companies trying to succeed in today’s unpredictable business conditions
- The fact that deploying a huge transportation management system (TMS) probably won’t get you fired, but it won’t address all of your shipping problems either
- Why this is not the time for supply chain practitioners to avoid making decisions – especially if they have access to quality data
