Sarah embarked on her temporary career as a race commentator this weekend at Sea Otter, and she had a packed schedule. Not only did she do live in-field reporting during the pro race, but she also narrowly avoided getting arrested while trying to enter the venue. Somehow, she almost had to sing the national anthem at the start line, too. Meanwhile, Hannah was taking copious notes about the YouTube live chat during the event. There are a lot of bike things to talk about this week, which means that Hannah is forced to do a lot of listening. Seriously, though, Paris-Roubaix was so exciting and emotional in both the men’s and women’s races that Sarah has a lot to say, including which rider might be cuter than Dylan and the absolute travesty of not providing live coverage of the full women’s race. Then, they pivot to Sarah’s upcoming commentary at Sea Otter, which Hannah is extremely nervous about. Sarah and Hannah are back together this week to celebrate a belated Passover. They reminisce about the Easter egg hunts they never had as children and try to remember the name of Sarah’s least favourite party game. Hannah got to talk to a former bike messenger while getting a tattoo in Denver last week, and the experience might converted her into a cycling enthusiast. They are also joined by their Mom, Margie. Back by popular demand, she talks about her impending grandmother-hood and her advice to Sarah as a soon-to-be-parent. Plus, Hannah reveals her true Enneagram (spoiler alert: Sarah was wrong).

Hannah’s been having the time of her life in Denver this week while Sarah shopped for pants at Costco in Albuquerque. They have a lot to catch up on, but first, they get sidetracked by which Enneagram personality they are. Sarah and Hannah are back from Mid South after a very stressful return journey that ended in free ice cream. Sarah has some grievances to air and also some pregnancy purchases to discuss, while Hannah has a theory that connects gravel to the Netflix period romance ‘Bridgerton.’ A lot has been going on in the bike world lately, so they catch up on the nail-biter of Milan-San Remo and the drama at this year’s Cape Epic. Plus, they dive into the renewed controversy surrounding race coverage and rider safety.

While at Mid South, Sarah and Hannah caught up with four pros after their races (including the winners of the men’s and women’s fields) to ask them questions about their flaws, their earrings, their pronunciation of female anatomy, and washing dishes. It might have been Hannah’s nightmare, but it turns out that recording a live podcast (at a bike race, no less) can actually be extremely fun.
