Corporate culture is a term people throw around these days, and then do little to nothing with.
Natana is responsible for the culture that we have inside of Active Life reaching the businesses of the clients we serve on the professional development side of our company.
- What it means to have audacity
- The benefit of surrounding yourself with people who make you better
- When it's time to make a change in your career
- How to know if you're in the wrong role, in the right company, and what to do about it
- Building and supporting a team of people who help people

We are heading for a world with two groups of people who want nothing to do with each other...
The medicated, and the unmedicated.
This has the potential to become a social status game with the government supporting those who bend the knee to big pharma and big government instead of accepting personal responsibility.
There is absolutely a place for pharmaceuticals, medical doctors, and government. We have to be significantly more cynical about how these entities participate in our lives, before we have no say at all.
Will Ozempic and other GLP-1 Inhibitors go down as the Opioid crisis of the 2020s?
Are there people for whom these drugs are more dangerous?
If so, is it predictable who these people are?
Are doctors overprescribing GLP-1 inhibitors?
Is there a financial incentive for the doctors to do it even when it's not advisable for the patient?
Is there a penalty for docs doing this?
Should there be?
These drugs are now approved for children as young as 12 years old, it's not long before we're approving it for 6 year olds, how long before we have a generation of people who know nothing of food and exercise personal responsibility?
These are just some of the questions discussed on today's episode with Dr. Spencer Nadolsky.
It should be noted, Dr. Nadolsky is a professional, and a good person who wants the best for his patients and his industry. Him coming on this show to discuss this topic demonstrates high integrity and willingness to go the extra mile. We need more docs like him.

Mike is the founder of Stronger U, which he great to over 8,000 clients at it's peak, and over 50,000 clients overall. He's not a dietician, and he wasn't formally trained before he started the company.
This is a story of grit and authenticity.
Most importantly, Mike is a great father and husband who genuinely cares about the people in his life.
I met Mike at The Real Coach's Summit, my friend Aram Grigorian's event, and it's just another reason why I implore you to get out of your town, and get to events.

When is it time to quit the job you keep complaining about?
What kind of a job should you be looking for when you do?
How do you climb from the bottom of the company all the way to the most powerful seat?
These questions and more get answered today with the CSO of Active Life, Mary Banks.
What does it take to become the undeniable, number one person in your industry...?
That's exactly what Jayson Siano of Sabre Advisors did in the commercial real estate game. Jay helped launch the growth of the European Wax Center, Dry Bar, Starbucks, Chipotle, Orange Theory, Solid Core Pilates, and Stop N Shop grocery stores (to name a handful of his clients).
This is not a story of immediate success. Jay not only had to overcome a drinking problem to achieve his success, but he credits his problems with alcohol with some of what allowed him to work so hard and take so much stress in his career.
This is a wild interview and you're going to love it.

Nutrition is so simple it's complicated.
Lauren Papanos is a functional medicine certified, RD who believes that the overwhelming majority of hormone replacement therapy could be eliminated through diet and supplementation.
She fell into the world of nutrition as a result of losing her cycle when competing in cheer on scholarship, where she had to maintain a low body weight, and still perform.
Injuries started to mount, she lost her cycle, and she had to figure out how to turn things around to live a healthy life.
Now she helps people from around the world simplify their eating and supplementation to perform at their best.

Would you wear a set of headphones for 10 minutes a day if you knew it could improve your sleep, focus, and recovery?
There is some exciting data that suggests this is not only possible, but it might already be happening.
Jen Dischler is a self proclaimed data nerd, we met at the Forever Strong event in January this year, and I was intrigued by the work she does for the startup "Vital Neuro".

Life is dangerous if we decide to live it to it's fullest, and I'm not here to sit on the sideline.
On today's episode of The Active Life Podcast my friend, Dr. Amy West is back, and we are talking about the injury risks associated with CrossFit, how overblown they are, and how under reported. We also talk about a bunch of other things related to musculoskeletal health, and what society needs to change if we're going to become vibrant again.
I believe that if CrossFit went back to its roots and wore the badge of "forging elite fitness", acknowledging stuff happens when you're trying to be elite, they would enjoy massive success, again.
I believe CrossFit is the most disruptive, and efficacious methodological breakthrough in fitness since Jack Lalanne hit the screens in the 1950s, and like anything else, it's flawed.
It's more dangerous to be sedentary than to do CrossFit, and to suggest doing CrossFit is dangerous is also incorrect.
Enjoy the show.

As a PhD in exercise science, an ultra marathoner, a hybrid athlete, a successful entrepreneur, and a regular presence on stages and podcasts, it's hard to argue anything except that Alyssa Olenick is a winner.
Not everyone wanted it to be that way.
On today's episode you're going to learn about the feathers that were ruffled necessarily, the obstacles that were overcome, the advantages that were leaned into, and the lessons still being learned by Alyssa as she continues making strides to excel in this new, entrepreneurial chapter of her life.
