This is the first episode of a multi-part series exploring the recent surge in scientific research on cannabis as medicine to treat coronavirus. Len May has extensive experience in the field of cannabis genetics and how the intricacies of the plant interact with our DNA. We lay the groundwork of the Endocannabinoid System (or, ECS) and what it does in our body. As well as discuss studies out of Israel, the University of Nebraska and Texas Biomedical Research Institute (among others) suggesting CBD may help reduce inflammation in the lungs, a major symptom of covid positive patients and much more findings.

This is the first part of a multi-part series breaking down the history and intention of social media. How did we get here? Social media is so interwoven into our behavior and lives today that it is sometimes difficult to remember where it came from and what it was intended for. Gus helps me trace the chronological history of social media from the invention of the printing press in 1455 to the emergence of instagram in 2010. The last twenty years have catapulted us head first into a world moving at the speed of thought. We explore the good, the bad and the ugly.

I dive into the book Power V. Force by Dr. David R. Hawkins. Through kinesiological testing Dr. Hawkins has managed to "map out" consciousness and has discovered a very precise mechanism by which our physical body/nervous system/intuition discerns between what is true and what is false. The concepts touched upon in this book are mind expanding and perspective shifting to say the least. Enjoy.

I am once again joined by my brother Augustus Britton to get current on all this insanity unfolding around us. We discuss the system that all of us are subject to. The mechanisms of civilization and the effect they have had on our experience of this thing called life. We acknowledge the deep need of a return to integrity of self. To live from a position of seeking out understanding, as well as, the importance of living with compassion. The vitriolic nature of social media and the dissolution of "escape valves". I hope you enjoy it.

In the spirit of laying out the trinity of total health and wellbeing I give you my philosophy on movement and exercise. Simplifying things to the greatest extent I believe our overall health and wellness comes down to three major categories: Meditation, Nutrition and Movement. Having offered fundamental concepts and framework for meditation and nutrition I wanted to take some time to provide you with my basic thoughts and feelings around the importance of movement. I will continue to deep dive each one of these topics but thought it would be helpful to provide very basic, practical information for anyone to get started on their journey to greater wellbeing. In this episode I discuss my favorite practices and why I believe exercise is a vital component of our experience as human animals. Enjoy.

Don't get it twisted. This episode is not about some new age philosophy to avoid pain and discomfort. In fact Dr. Mike Hart and I went deep on the undeniable value of facing adversity, overcoming pain, and enduring discomfort on the path to total self love. It began as a conversation on the medicinal benefits of cannabis but quickly evolved into an in depth dialogue on the importance of taking ownership of one's health and wellbeing. How far we've spun out into this abyss of comfort and pleasure in 2020. It is literally killing us. Leading us down a dark hole of disillusionment and unhappiness. Buckle up folks this ride might get a little bumpy!

It's good to surround yourself with people who are 'on the path'. My X-NFL brother, turned master yogi Grant Mattos is one of those people for me. At times throughout the conversation it felt as though he was speaking the words swirling in my head. In this deep conversation Grant shares what he's learned about himself over the last few months and the tools that keep him present in the here and now. From breathing exercises to the uplifting sounds he chooses to listen to this discussion is chockfull of wisdom and practical knowledge. To round it out I share the three lessons I've confronted during the time of covid and my daily practice for overcoming darkness. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Could you ever imagine yourself eating an all meat diet? I know it sounds almost insane but the truth of the matter is there are a ton of people out there doing it and seeing incredible results. Dr. Shawn Baker is an orthopedic surgeon and carnivore diet advocate. There is mounting evidence (scientific and anecdotal) that a strictly animal food based diet could seriously improve your health. I’ve been following this for some time now. Although I have not tried the all meat diet for myself I am fascinated by it and the results people are getting from it. Dr. Baker offers some great information in this episode. Enjoy!

Throughout my life people have said to me, "Eb, you're so zen! How do you do it?" (at points more true than others). To that I usually respond thank you. I don't really know. This is my nature. I'm constantly gravitating towards peace and inner-stability. My spirit warrior brother Riley Cote (in my eyes) is the embodiment of true zendom. He exudes peace. His life is the message. And I have a tremendous amount of respect and gratitude for the man. A one time vicious NHL enforcer he now walks a profound path on his journey to complete self realization. In this ep we discuss his history with violence and vices. We talk about his experiences with plant medicine and how he believes we may begin to restore ourselves to wholeness. Enjoy.
