The Kansas City Barbecue Society and The BBQ Central Show partnered up to bring you the big announcement of the newly hired KCBS CEO.  She is someone who has ties to the BBQ community already, she has an extensive educational background that can be immediately applied through many facets of the KCBS organization.  She lives in Kansas City, is passionate about BBQ and just happened to be in the market for a job...let's see how it goes from here!  There is a new email set up for your questions/views/suggestions and you can (CEO AT KCBS DOT US)

(August 6, 2019 - Hour Two)

In the 2nd hour, I will be joined by "The Soul Food Scholar", Adrian Miller. Adrian had an incredible first visit and this time promises to be even better. As we learned a few months back, he is one of the BBQ Hall of Fame Board members and he will now have to answer the burning questions I have locked and loaded for him...namely, why isn't HE making more of an argument for ME to get on that short list?!?! This could be the first time I hang up on a booked guest.....stay tuned!

Helping me close it down tonight is the first person voted off the new "BBQ Brawl" Food Network show, the owner of Slaps BBQ (team and restaurant) Joe Pearce! Joe easily has some of the best BBQ, not only in Kansas City, but the country! We will talk about how he got the gig and what happened during the shoot. It's always fun to hear how it "really" went down and what we see as viewers.

What’s on tap:  Taking you back to July 2012...and this, according to executive producer Jon Solberg, is a show topic sent in through the “listener request line”.  He was on the show a few weeks ago talking about his grandfather CB Stubblefield making it into the BBQ Hall of Fame...that being Rocky Stubblefield.  Rocky first surfaced on this show back in 2012 and this show is what it sounded like when he came on the first time! Yes, it is a Jon Solberg patented “double header” show!  ENJOY!!
