  • Transitioning from Solopreneur to Entrepreneur | Ep #77

There's a real difference between being a solopreneur and being an entrepreneur.

A solopreneur is a worker and it's mostly about "me." They do all the work in the business. An entrepreneur is a producer / manager. These people have a team and running the business is more about "we."

The trick is learning how to make that transition from a "me" to a "we." Let's talk about how!

What you'll learn from this episode:

    1. In entrepreneurship, we start to leverage the assets of others.
    2. Entrepreneurship is managing people. This is when we start to build systems and replicate-able processes.
    3. Making the transition has nothing to do with company size – it's mindset.
    4. Solopreneur boundary challenges are with clients. Entrepreneur boundary issues are with your staff / team, and the work.
    5. The importance of moving from "me center" to "we center."
    6. The next podcast will be about transitioning from entrepreneurship to CEO.

We'll be launching a new, live course in September called "How to CEO for Entrepreneurs." The registration for this first group will be limited, so go here https://krisplachy.com/how2ceo to get on the waitlist.

When you are a leader and own a business, it's not only okay to have expectations, it's your responsibility to have them. But most female entrepreneurs that I work with usually wrangle with these three issues when it comes to expectations.

    1. The three main issues that female entrepreneurs wrangle with when it comes to expectations.
    2. Many female entrepreneurs think that their expectations are too.

  • You Are Just One Person Away from Magic in Your Business | Ep #71

When you have one employee who's bringing your company's performance down, the impact on the team is very noticeable. Here's why that one person is standing between you and total magic.

What you'll learn from this episode:

    1. Once you remove the negative energy from your business and brain you create all kinds of space for something new.
    2. If that person hasn't grown with the business, they're almost like a memory of who you were when you started, and that's not who you are today. It keeps you stuck energetically.
    3. When you let that person go and create room in your business, then you can get intentional about what you want to create and the results you want to achieve.
    4. You have to learn the processes to follow, the words to say, the conversations to have in order to foster the change necessary to get you where you need to be.

  • How to Know What You Don't Know as a Leader | Ep #70

The only way to learn things you don't know, and to gain an understanding of them, is to be willing to tolerate and sit with discomfort. It doesn't mean you have to agree. It means you have the opportunity to listen, to stretch and to grow.

What you'll find in this episode:

    1. Why it's so important to get out of the echo chamber.
    2. Pay attention to how you feel. If someone introduces you to something and you feel repulsed, indignant, angry, resentful – pay attention.
    3. Find new teachers, thought leaders and discussion groups.
