Our guest this week on the #CLP is a girl boss who has worn more hats than most: author, business owner, exercise specialist, yoga instructor, health and wellness expert, wife, and Mom! We sat down for an amazing conversation with Jenn Pike and loved the episode. Jenn opened up and discussed her journey from exercise coach, to business owner to published author and so much more. We dive into her current passion and focus, The Hormone Project and how she is helping women of all ages maximize their life. Jenn shared some amazing stories about struggling to run a profitable yoga and fitness studio, being down to her last 20 dollars, starving for information, and refusing to go away and how her own personal need for simplicity started her online journey. Welcome back Champions! This week on the #CLP we wanted to take some time to discuss an event we attended over the weekend, ManTalks and the two topics covered within the event resiliency, and masculinity. The event featured 3 amazing speakers: Billy Anderson, Martin Reader, Jayson Gaignard, each with different story and perspective on building resiliency for life and we loved being apart of the event. This sparked some further discussion about the state of masculinity and we decided to chat about both in this week's episode.
This week on the #CLP podcast we sit down with a man who knows quite a bit about being a champion, Bazooka Joseph Valtellini. This week on the #CLP we are joined by Impact Kitchen Co-Founder, friend, and deliverer of delicious food, Josh Broun. We couldn’t be happier with how this podcast turned out, Josh is so open and transparent when it comes to his idea, execution, and struggles that have made up his journey. Josh originally attended school for Health Science, 8 months of backpacking and reflection pushed him towards firefighting before he decided to build a career in health and wellness. Th story of how Impact came to be is one we'll let Josh tell but the restaurant is a staple in Toronto’s east end health scene and one of our favourite places to grab a bite to eat. The community, quality of food, and amazing staff all contribute to the pleasure that is eating at Impact. Please Rate, Review, and Share with all of your friends!
This week on the #CLP we’re battling it out on the boards and behind the microphone with Canadian Olympian, turned TSN Sportscaster, Tessa Bonhomme. We knew this interview was going to be awesome from the moment we turned the microphone on, we just didn’t realize how awesome. Tessa opens up about her hockey career, the pressure her father put on her, transitioning from Tessa B into Olympic gold medalist and falling in love with the camera and mic. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed recording! Don’t forget to rate and subscribe from more lessons from those living the Championship Lifestyle!
This week on the #CLP we are joined by an amazing guest from across the pond, Nick Jones. Nick is the Head of Sports Science for GeneBlueprint, a company focused on genomics and the application for sport. In addition to his role in Canada, he is the owner of the Manchester-based gym, the Power Room, a lecturer and will soon complete his doctorate. We had a great chat with Nick and really enjoyed discussing the results he has seen from the inclusion of genetic testing with his athletes. Performance to politics, the implications are endless and we felt like we only just scratched the surface both in this conversation and in the gene discussion at large. Enjoy, Rate, Review!
