How can relaxation therapy and guided imagery positively impact our physical and mental health?
In this episode, Dr. Judy Lovas, an expert in relaxation therapy, joins host Dr. Lorne Brown to discuss the benefits of relaxation for mental and physical well-being. She will even be guiding listeners through a brief imagery session.
The conversation also delves into the fascinating area of Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), which studies the interactions between the nervous system, endocrine system, and immune system. Through PNI, we gain insight into the mechanisms by which techniques such as deep diaphragmatic breathing and guided imagery work to support our health and well-being. Dr. Lovas explains how these techniques can be effective in treating chronic conditions such as pain, mood disorders, anxieties, depression, sleep disorders, trauma, and inflammatory conditions.
Dr. Brown and Dr. Lovas also explore the bidirectional impact that our thoughts and emotions have on our physical body and the evidence that they can turn genes on and off for longevity and affect our hormonal system. Specific interventions, such as diaphragmatic breathing, can change genetic expression and improve our inflammatory processes.
If you're interested in learning more about the connections between the mind and body, and the therapeutic potential of relaxation techniques, this episode is not to be missed. Tune in now and join the conversation.

Can acupuncture optimize fertility and increase the chances of pregnancy??
Scientific evidence for the healing art of acupuncture is surmounting. More and more evidence supports that fertility is impacted by the healthy flow of energy in the body. Acupuncture is proven to increase the circulation of blood and energy, helping to restore physical and metaphysical balance.
Today, licensed acupuncturist, Dr. Jeremy Pulsifer examines the science and mystical components of acupuncture concerning fertility. There is still much of the world that is unobservable and therefore mysterious, Pulsifer shares the data and his eyewitness accounts of the miracles that acupuncture can have on fertility.
With years of experience since 2006 and a background in biophysics, Dr. Pulsifer demonstrates the scientific efficacy of acupuncture and takes you on a journey through the unexplored world of electromagnetism. He examines the link between fertility and the metaphysical reality that surrounds us.
He teaches you the true nature of surrender, and the physical impact your mindset has on fertility. His protocol addresses the physical body and the psyche, remarkably helping many women successfully conceive before IVF therapy becomes necessary. Dr. Pulsifer predicts a new renaissance in medicine, as a whole, as our understanding of reality expands. Join us as we discover the deep connection between fertility and the restoration of energetic flow using acupuncture

Male fertility is like an old car. If you take care of it and let it run how it wants, it should work all the time. But like all health sciences, there are exceptions to this rule and sometimes we need to take a different approach.
Dr. Paul Turek is joining me today from a vintage car mechanic shop to teach us how men can optimize their sperm quality and what factors affect it the most. Dr. Turek, the founder and director of The Turek Clinic and the inventor of sperm mapping, knows how to get to the bottom of male infertility to get men back on the road and running like new.
He says, “My approach to the treatment of male sexual health issues is similar to a vintage Ferarri: If you take the time to straighten out all of the kinks, it will run hard and fast.”
It really can be this simple, but if it turns out there are deeper underlying issues, Dr. Turek knows where to look with a method he invented called sperm mapping. It can not only give a bigger picture of male fertility but also detect other underlying health issues earlier than normal fertility testing.
Join us to learn why sperm is certainly 50% of the equation when it comes to conception, and what tools are available to improve male fertility. Because it’s not just a fertility play, it’s a men’s health play.
Key Topics/Takeaways
About Dr. Paul Turek
Dr. Paul Turek is the world’s leading innovator in male reproductive health. Dr. Turek is the founder and director of The Turek Clinic. The practices are “clinical homes for men,” designed to provide state-of-the-art medical treatment to men across the globe. Dr. Turek is a leader in his field. A past president of the American Society of Andrology, he is a recipient of a prestigious National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant for research designed to help infertile men become fathers and has published some of the highest success rates worldwide for vasectomy reversals. Dr. Turek invented sperm mapping, an advanced alternative to microdissection procedures.

Under the right circumstances, you could achieve what you perceive is impossible.
The ego is a tricky thing. It has the potential to warp your perception and confine you to a reality that negates the good and enhances the bad. Everyone wants change, but it must start from within.
Today’s guest is Christina Grote, co-author of Living an Extraordinary Life. She is a board member of ITP International, where she teaches you how to create the conditions for your body to do what it was meant to do.
Integral Transformative Practice is a comprehensive therapy that incorporates the body, mind, heart, and soul. In this episode, Christina teaches the fundamental principles of ITP, so you can set the stage for your natural abilities to arise. By doing the inner work and embracing the power of surrender, you can only achieve extraordinary things.
Your ego may insist that it knows the how and the when, but your body is in continual reciprocity with the universe, a wisdom that is beyond what you can define. Christina details how her experiences with surrender brought her peace, enabled her to access a new reality, and ultimately changed her inner spirit. Tune in as we explore the full scope of human potential!
Key Topics/Takeaways:
About Christina Grote:
Christina Grote grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and made the unusual choice to move to Columbus, Ohio, in the mid-1970s following four years of international travel, living in Amsterdam, Afghanistan, and Montreal, eventually landing in the hill town of McCleod Ganj, India, the seat of the Dalai Lama. A life-long interest in natural healing prompted her to become a licensed massage therapist in Ohio in 1988, practicing many types of body and energy work and the therapeutic use of sound, music, and color. Her quest to find ways for her clients to improve their well-being led her to create self-care classes that included elements of ITP. Her further exploration of the practice led to her starting an ITP group in Columbus in 2004.

Just because it’s considered normal does not mean it is healthy!
Millions of women live in pain because their endometriosis remains undiagnosed. Often, doctors ignore symptoms of bloating, constipation, anxiety, headaches, and abdominal pain, assuming that it is just hormonal or nothing “serious”.. Officially, 1 in 9 women are diagnosed with endometriosis, but experts suspect that as many as 1 in 4 women suffer from this silent disruptor.
Today, I welcome filmmaker and activist Shannon Cohn to discuss how endometriosis is disrupting the lives of millions of women and how women can advocate for better care.
In this episode, Shannon shares how she suffered for years before her diagnosis and how her experience inspired her film Endo What?, which laid the foundation of education for women to understand this disease. Her soon-to-be-released film, Below the Belt, is a call to action for healthcare providers and politicians to ensure women’s symptoms are not ignored. We have a Vancouver screening of her Movie on April 19th with more details found below.
Regardless of where you are in your journey, Shannon educates you on the warning signs and tips to advocate for your health. Join us as we explore how to balance Eastern and Western medicine to treat endometriosis.
