A controlling narcissist is someone who uses manipulation, intimidation, and other power tactics to control those around them, often in relationships where they feel a sense of ownership. They may seek to undermine their partner’s confidence, isolate them from friends and family, and set rigid expectations. This behavior often stems from deep insecurity and a need to maintain a feeling of superiority, which they achieve by belittling or dismissing others’ feelings.
Over time, the controlled person may feel emotionally drained, second-guess themselves, and experience a diminished sense of self, as narcissists tend to prioritize their own needs and ego above all else. In this week's episode, I want to help you recognize these patterns, something that is crucial in order to break free and rebuild one's confidence.
