Last year, I attended New York Fashion Week. I’ve attended nyfw on and off since 2018 so today I’m sharing how I prepared for fashion week. Even though I won’t be attending this year (because the baby will only be a few months old), I hope sharing these tips on this two part episode series will help you!
We’ll be chatting about how to budget for NYFW, what costs to be aware of, how to network at NYFW, and how to request tickets to new York fashion week shows.
In part one of today’s conversation, we’ll be discussing:
If you’re interested in attending NYFW someday, this episode is for you!

Today, we’re asking you the question: Am I allowing myself to be creative?
Creativity isn’t just about being able to paint, draw, create jewelry, design rooms, or sculpt pottery.
Creativity is much broader than that. Creativity can be recognizing, identifying, and developing new ideas or solutions. It can be a form of artistic creation. It can be a physical product. But it can also be a new business, a new way of approaching old problems (like methods or processes), or even fusing cuisine together.

The purpose of the Creative Reflection Series is to help you take the time to think and reflect about your creative career, passions, side-hustles, etc. so far. Personally, I’ve found the next step in my creative career when I’ve taken the time to reflect. I’ve also found that I’ve accomplished more than I realized when I’ve taken the time to think about how I’ve grown or am growing as a creator.
So, if you feel like you’re ready for the next step in your creative pursuits or you’re feeling stuck and not sure where to turn next, this series is for you. I hope the different questions and exercises in the next few weeks help you find your next step or help you recognize how you’ve grown as a creator.
Today, we’re going to be asking you the question: “are you giving yourself permission to evolve?”
I wanted to start the series off with this question because evolving as a creator is almost inevitable. And if we feel like we aren’t evolving or moving forward, we might be feeling stuck. We might need to change up our routine, approach our processes differently, or maybe even try a completely different platform.
So today’s conversation has three main parts:

Do you have trouble consistently coming up with content ideas?
Kristen of Soulcial Scoop Podcast joined me in both this week's episode and last week's! Over these two episodes, we're combining our experiences as full-time creators + entrepreneurs to bring you a special 4-episode series on both of our shows all about being an IDEA MACHINE.
The amount of content we're expected to pump out as creators is OVERWHELMING to say the least. But there's a lot we learned along the way that can help to work smarter, not harder when it comes to building a consistent content strategy that works for YOU.
On July 4th + July 11th, you'll be able to find an episode on BOTH of our shows breaking down one of our PROVEN methods for being an idea MACHINE to give you four total episodes full of guidance.
So, grab a notebook (or start a new Notion doc) and get ready to fall in love with creating content again.
