Marisa Peer (@marisapeer/@marisapeertherapy) is a motivational speaker, celebrity therapist, behavioural expert and pioneering hypnotherapist trainer who invited me to her London home to record this episode of the show.
She is listed in the Tatler Guide of Britain's Best Doctors, was named Best British Therapist by Men's Health and counts celebrities, Olympians, CEOs and Royalty among her clients.
In researching Marisa I spent hours on YouTube watching her talks and the main take-away, for me, was that how you are today isn't how you have to be tomorrow. If you catch yourself saying things such as, 'I always do ____' and feel helpless to not do ____ again, then Marisa's methodology is well worth exploring.
We all have patterns, but in this conversation Marisa explains the simplicity with which you can free yourself, especially if you feel a certain behavioural pattern - such as emotional eating - is holding you back or not allowing you to live the life you want to.
At the core of her messaging is this idea of being 'enough'. Indeed she has 'I AM ENOUGH' written in lipstick on all the mirrors in her home and has given many talks (I've listed some you can find on YouTube below) where she outlines how not feeling enough can be at the core of the issues we all face.
I feel very privileged to have been able to spend time one-on-one with Marisa and meeting her had a very positive effect on me, as I hope this podcast does on you.
Marisa now teachers The Marisa Peer Method, where you can learn to do what she does. If you want to find out more you can email [email protected] quoting 'The Emma G

Eve Kalinik (@evekalinik/@evekalinik) is a nutritional therapist and innovative food thinker. In previous podcasts I've talked to guests about the gut being the 'second brain', but with Eve there's an argument for saying it's the first brain. Eve's approach isn't about fads or unsustainable plans - in fact she gives them all short shrift, as you'll hear - but rather a way of finding a balanced approach to what you eat to support health, wellbeing and positive changes in the body.
Did you know your stomach acid should be like battery acid? In this conversation Eve shares some facts we all need to know about our bodies, debunks myths, talks about the emotional connection we have with our food, and why some of our 'bad habits' might not be 'bad habits' at all, and actually the result of cravings caused by subtle, an easily fixable, imbalances in the gut.
If you've ever wondered what probiotics and prebiotics are, and what they can do for your gut health, Eve breaks in down in one very nifty action movie analogy.
I recorded this podcast and wondered why I'd never seen a nutritional therapist before, if you feel the same you can get in touch with Eve via her website: EVE KALINIK.

Jo Tutchener-Sharp (@jotutcheners/@jotutchenersharp) is the Founder of children's clothing range Scamp & Dude (@scampanddude/@scampanddude) which launched in the UK in November 2016. The idea for the collection, which has the motto 'a superhero has my back' at its core, came from Jo's experience with a sudden and life-threatening condition.
In this episode of the show Jo talks to me about the moment the brand was born, how she's gone from having an idea in a hospital bed, in January 2016, to being one of the most written about and exciting new brands around. We discuss how Jo's health issues have changed her approach to life, how she plans to grow her business into a global brand, and why it's hard work, guts, grit and a lot of planning that get you where you want to be. She also tells me about how her intuition has changed since having brain surgery...
I learned a lot from Jo in this episode and I hope you do too.
The charities Jo and Scamp & Dude work with include: Don't Forget the Kids & Grief Encounter
Scamp & Dude is available in-store and online at Liberty and from the website Scamp & Dude.

This podcast with Melinda starts with her tales of hanging out with Brad Pitt the night before, and what her elevator pitch to him would be to get him to invest in her business...
Melinda Nicci (@melindanicci) is the founder and CEO of Baby2Body. If you're a mum, pregnant, or planning on getting pregnant, this is the digital platform for you as it contains expert advice on fitness, wellbeing, nutrition, fashion and beauty for new, and nearly new, mums. A qualified Sports Psychologist, Melinda's goal was to create a destination where mums could get the expert information they needed to live better and have healthier babies.
Baby2Body started when Melinda was pregnant herself and couldn't find the information she felt she wanted as an expectant. Today Baby2Body has nearly half a million subscribers, is a 500 StartUps company, was recently named in the Disrupt Top 100, and shortlisted as Best Health Tech Start Up in the Europas. Melinda herself was recently nominated for Start Up CEO of the year in The Europas 2016.
Melinda invited me to her home to talk about turning an idea into a business, what it takes to make it when the odds are stacked against you, and a lot more besides. We also talk about the benefits of intermittent fasting, from the research that's out there suggesting it has significant health benefits, to how hard Melinda found it that first time she tried it...
Enjoy

I was thrilled to sit down with Fleur Bell, better known as Fleur de Force (@fleurdeforce) to quiz her about her incredible success on YouTube and how she has turned filming videos for her beauty channel into a huge business.
If you're a regular listener to the show, you'll know I like to unpick how my guests have achieved their incredible success, whether it's finding out how brand owners created and developed their products, how editors have found their voice in their editorial, and much more besides (there's usually a dash of RuPaul's wisdom thrown in for good measure too...)
In seven years on YouTube she has grown an audience of nearly one and a half million subscribers, has a range of eyelashes with Eylure, and has authored two books; The Luxe Life and The Glam Guide
We talk about the early days of YouTube, what it takes to make it as a vlogger, her rules to success, growing up online and in the public eye, and her work ethic.
Fleur's Top 3 Products:
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra Light Makeup SPF15, £32.
Yves Saint Laurent Luxurious Mascara for False Lash Effect, £25.
Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil, £28.

In this episode you finally find out what Sali's 'sliding doors' moment is, and a lot more besides...
Relaxed by the first hour of our conversation we talk about our first jobs, how to capitalise on luck, how she feels about the beauty industry, getting sucked into the vortex and much much more.
Sali's book, Pretty Iconic, is available to buy NOW, and I highly recommend it. I've been reading mine and so far it's made me laugh, well-up, chortle and I've even been a teensy bit shocked...
Thanks for tuning in, and thank you to everyone who has tweeted and emailed in.
Enjoy! EG xx

Joining me in this episode is Sali Hughes (@salihughes/@salihughesbeauty) who invited me over just before the launch of her second book Pretty Iconic - the follow-up to her first book Pretty Honest - to have a good old chinwag. I'd like to be able to wrap up exactly what we covered during this epic chat into a neat little nutshell, but it is neither structured nor predictable - so do come along and enjoy the audio ride...
What you do get for joining us, in the first of this two-part podcast, is some incredible advice on hosiery, an interesting discussion about Converse, and some 'lols' over a school reunion...
On a more serious note we also talk about the importance of having a strong sense of self, the responsibility she feels towards her viewers and readers, and she reveals how she approaches the writing process.
Sali is a columnist for Guardian Weekend, The Pool and Empire Magazine (the editor of Empire, Terri White, was a podcast guest back in the summer) and also contributes to Grazia, The Observer, Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Stylist, Woman & Home, Good Housekeeping, The Telegraph and Red.

Marcia Moody is an accomplished author and writer. She has penned two biographies, has written for every major magazine and newspaper, and she's currently a columnist for Weight Watchers Magazine as she charts her weight loss journey.
She's also my dear friend and my go-to friend for no-nonsense, real life advice, which is why I couldn't wait to get her on the show.
In this episode we talk about her weight loss journey with Weight Watchers which you can follow on instagram @wwmarcia and the two biographies she penned on Kate Middleton and Prince Harry.
She also tells me about the times she went to the Oscars in LA - more than once I hasten to add - and the celebrities she's most enjoyed interviewing in her career.

I met Matthew Curtis (@matthewcurtishair) on a press trip last year and though we may have only known each other a short while, he's one of my favourite people in the industry. We bonded, in part, over hair loss. I have mild female pattern baldness and Matthew has had his own issues with hair loss, and the way he spoke to me about his experience, and how I could manage my own situation, was gentle, kind and I really felt like he was on my side and knew what I was going through.
We've established he's a really nice guy, right? But he's also an impressive businessman. He's a hugely talented hair stylist who has been the ambassador for brands, been the lead stylist backstage at fashion shows in London, New York, Paris and Milan, worked with numerous celebrities and has many TV credits under his belt. It's an impressive CV and there's more, much more, that Matthew wants to achieve.
He's just opened a concession salon in the very beautiful Rosewood Hotel in London, has a beautiful salon at Hoarcross Hall and his home salon, if you will, is in Stratford-upon-Avon - next stop, the world?
I talk to Matthew about how he's achieved so much since starting out working at Toni & Guy, what his aspirations are for the future and when he's going to find time to take a holiday.
We chat about work ethic, being a wheeler-dealer, the importance of having confidence in yourself and not getting caught up in the muck and bullets.
I also encourage you to follow Raphelle, Matthew's fiancée, on E-bop TV and on instagram @raphellesaintmarshall
