This weekend, I took some time to reflect on the fact that I have recorded 300 podcast episodes of the EntreMD podcast.  

The stats are mind blowing.

 Top 1% podcast globally.

 423,000 downloads.

 120 countries.

 Countless lives changed.

Before I go on, I want to say thank you for listening and subscribing and sharing this with your physician friends and colleagues. This is your win too because you made this happen. 

After reflecting, I was shocked by what I learned.

The most valuable thing I learned from recording 300 episodes of the EntreMD Podcast is is the power of playing the long game.

I mean, it started with my iPhone 8 and ear phones in my basement but I have done it for over THREE years.

In those three years, it has create five very specific benefits in my life that I didn't see coming.

That's the thing with the long game, it will change your life and business in ways you can't imagine.

What's the secret to building multiple streams of income simply through social media presence?

No, it's not prepping a deep library of content in advance. No, it's not having training on being in front of a camera. No, it's not even about being 100% in love with and in touch with social media.

That's right—you can be a physician who's never been on camera and has no time to build a library of content and doesn't even like social media (any of this sound familiar?!) ... and still have enough impact to generate revenue through your social media presence!

HOW?!

Reps.

That's it. You get better with reps. You get more comfortable with more reps. You find your niche with reps. You get good at knowing what people what to learn, and you teach it the way you do best (this is the part when you realize you will never run out of content—believe me). You just might even find yourself enjoying this whole social media thing (and your followers will notice and multiply and CONVERT!).

Busy physician entrepreneurs have to make the most of the time they have, and that starts with reframing how they talk about their time.

When you tell yourself you can't do this or that because you don't have time, your brain takes that as gospel.

So instead, ask yourself HOW you can make it happen.

Think of all the time you spend waiting in the car to pick up the kids from school or activities. How can you use that time to work on your business?

I bet you could reach out to 5 podcasters in that time to see if you could be on their show. Imagine how that could grow your business!

When you say "How can I?," you open this whole new level of possibility, creativity, innovation.

If the word "negotiate" stirs up anxiety and dread in you, wait until you hear what Dr. Weili Gray has to say in today's EntreMD podcast episode.

What, exactly, was it that took Dr. Cheruba Prabakar to the next level, where her dream of opening a private practice became a reality?

Dr. Cheruba put herself in a room of examples.

She had to be proactive in finding this room. It's much easier to find the rooms of people who tell you to "be careful" or "that seems like too much work." But once she got there, she got incredible support and inspiration from other forward-thinkers like herself. She got the encouragement and know-how to move toward her goals.

And while starting a private practice takes a lot of time and work, Dr. Cheruba says she feels like she took a shortcut by joining the EntreMD Business School. We physicians need to take time to ask ourselves what we really want.
