The narcissistic FOG targets of narcissists get entrapped in and remain so post discard or when the relationship is long gone, is difficult to explain away using the school of psychology alone. Also, despite logically knowing the narcissist is out to destroy a person, it appears difficult for their former partners/targets to escape the pull of a narcissist even returning to the relationship, despite knowing it’s not a good move.
