  • 183: How and why to start a Tarot practice for self-discovery

Hey, Soothers! This week I dive deep into one of my favorite self-reflective and spiritual practices: Reading and connecting with Tarot cards! On today's podcast I share a little bit of my journey to discovering Tarot; how exactly I use it these days; and how you can begin or deepen your relationship with Tarot too, whether you do it for spiritual reasons or simply as another tool to add to your self-discovery toolkit.

Want to learn more after listening today? You're in luck. On Saturday November 12th I am hosting a two-hour workshop: Tarot for Beginners.

I'll break down the Tarot and give you practical tools to begin to build your understanding and practice of the cards in this two-hour workshop.

I n the workshop, we'll go over the following:

    • So like... what is Tarot, even? And how does it "work"?
    • The Major and Minor Arcana and their differences
    • Each Tarot suit and what they mean
    • How to begin a daily Tarot practice
    • How to start understanding each card's meaning for you
    • How to do things like shuffle, pull cards, store your cards, and deepen a relationship
    • When and how to do Tarot pulls
    • The energy from which to use Tarot and how to phrase your question for Tarot
    • Best resources and books to continue to use in your Tarot journey

We'll also have plenty of time for Q&A, and I will do a few live readings with the group to help get you in the flow of practice.

Plus, if you sign up, you'll get access to my Tarot + journal prompts workbook, which journal prompts for each and every one of the cards!

I'll provide lifetime replay to this workshop in case you cannot attend live, or if you simply want to return to it over and over again as you continue on your Tarot journey!

Tix are $75 and the replay is lifetime, snag your tickets here!

  • 182: The power of retreats for highly sensitive people

Hi Soothers! Today I'm joined by my upcoming New Year's Eve retreat co-host, Kelly Barrett. This will be the third retreat that Kelly and I have led, and we'd thought to celebrate, we'd share our own transformative experiences with retreats we've been on, the reasons it's so lovely and nourishing for hyper-responsible HSPs to go to a retreat where literally everything is taken care of for you, the power of intentional rest and time dedicated to your own self-discovery and goal-setting, and more. We also go into exactly what we'll be doing at the retreat, soothe any worries our fellow introverts or socially anxious people might have, and just have a good chat!

  • 181: Getting into right relationship around money as a way of healing our ancestors who were women

Happy Sunday, Soothers! This week, I had a massive realization, which was also like, obvious, but sometimes it lands different, ya know? Anyways, the realization: I am the first female entrepreneur in my entire lineage (that I'm aware of). I am also the first unmarried woman in my entire lineage (that I'm aware of). I paired the two realizations and it hit me like a ton of bricks: I am meant in this lifetime to achieve what my mother, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, great-great-grandmothers and beyond could not because of the patriarchy: earn my own money from my heart's work, make that money MINE and MINE alone, learn to expertly manage the money on my own without the support (or interference/exploitation) of a man, and then share and teach this with others.

I don't know about you, but the majority of the women in my lineage were stay-at-home-moms and housewives, who, if and when they did enter the career field, it was to support their husband's work and visions. And I'm here to birth a new possibility.

Anybody who is interested in career, entrepreneurship, money management, and you need an extra boost of motivation and understanding, tune into this episode to reflect on what your ancestors who were women might want you to understand and learn about money in ways that they were not permitted to.

  • 179: 7 lessons on healing I learned from running a mastermind for highly sensitive women

Hi Soothers! This week, I and the 26 women in the first-ever cohort of Soothe close out our year together. As we do so, I was reflecting on my biggest lessons on healing and takeaways from this powerful group of incredible people; their vulnerability, their willingness to love themselves, and more. Here are seven of the most powerful lessons about healing I've learned from them, from my own experience in Soothe, and from what Soothe (which is its own entity, truly, I believe) have all taught me. Whether or not you're interested in signing up for Sothe, I think you'll walk away with some of your own wisdom and lessons for your own healing.

  • 177: What the hell is a mastermind and why would a highly sensitive woman want to join one?

Today I explain what a mastermind is and why especially highly sensitive women should consider joining one as part of their healing process. We can often be hyper-independent -- we can do it all alone! We don't need help! -- and groups like masterminds, where we come together with other like-minded souls for healing and growth and accountability and love and BEING SEEN as we ARE, not as we think we need to be or should be -- can be a critical and powerful part of our healing process, of understanding that we can show up human, that we get to ask for help, that we get to be seen in our full emotional spectrum and that it is now safe to do so.

  • 176: What Stranger Things and Vecna have to do with fighting for your self-worth

Hi Soothers! Today I try to connect the dots amongst two seemingly disparate things: The characters Vecna and Max from the TV show Stranger Things, and how to fight for your self-worth. Spoiler alerts for the show abound, and even if you've never watched Stranger Things, I hope this metaphor I share will land.

  • 175: A more feminine approach to goal-setting

Hi Soothers! Today I riff on goal-setting. I'm a Capricorn with a Virgo stellium: I LOVE to set me some goals. But as I've shifted more into my feminine energy I've started to think about what goal-setting can look like from a more relaxed, spacious approach, rather than a lot of DOING in going after the goals. So today I set up a little mini workshop, so bring a pen and paper. We're doing a mini exercise around one of your desired goals, and I'm asking you to tap into it in an entirely different way: through feeling; through the five senses; and through removing limiting beliefs and addressing safety around the goal. Plus I give very practical and actionable tips at the end, like using EFT and affirmations in your goal-setting, too. Settle in and try this approach out on one of your goals!

  • 174: The releasing control experiment for September

Hi Soothers! Ready to try a fun experiment: A release control rest of September? In this episode I talk about what it tangibly looks like to release control, how you can begin to do it, and a few tactical ways to begin experimenting releasing control in one or more areas of your life this month. Highly sensitive women can really struggle with needing to be in control/do all the things out of a sense of something that's so critical to us: Feeling safe. But doing all the things and controlling all the people has such negative effects, it leaves us resentful, burnt out, and can harm our relationships. What if it could look a little different, a little more flow-y, a little easier? Let's try it out together this month.

Just think of it as a fun experiment. Let's go release control!
