The no contact rule is a rule on what to do or not do when someone breaks up with you. This rule doesn't change whether you are a secure attachment style, a preoccupied anxious attachment style, a dismissive avoidant attachment style, or a fearful avoidant attachment style, also known as a disorganized attachment style.
The no contact rule will help you either give you a better chance of getting your ex back or moving on faster. Relationships are hard and breakups are hard too. Going into no contact will help you focus on making yourself better. Sometimes the best way to communicate is to stop commnunicating. This rule is for marriages and/or those who are just dating.
No contact will help you get back some of that power you lost when they ended the relationship.
