The 'Enhanced Games' are coming. An sporting event that allows, actually encourages the athletes to use performance enhancing drugs. Why? To see exactly what the human body, improved through science, is capable of.
But what are the risks? What are the rewards?

Have you been on TikTok lately and noticed a lot of videos are now silent? That's because Universal Music Group, or UMG, have decided to remove the music they own from the video sharing platform.
In this episode of The Quicky, we speak to an expert who can tell us why this is happening, as well as Aussie artist Amy Sheppard from the band Sheppard (yes the guys who sang Geronimo!) about how this move will affect her and other artists who rely on the social media exposure to get the support from their record labels.
Check out Amy's new song Small Town Rumours here.

We often think about how the kids and parents are coping in those first few days and weeks of school, but what about those who've been back in the classroom way before the students?
Teachers have been busy getting the classroom ready for the new influx of faces, learning the names of 30 to 100 children to make sure they don't feel alone in their education experience, sometimes taking money out of their own pockets to ensure those in schools with less funding, have the ability to at least write on something or with something.
But despite the difficulties (yes, we include parental interactions in that category) teachers describe the joy they feel when the school year begins again.

Elmo becoming the internet's therapist was not on my 2024 bingo card, but here we are!
Earlier this week, thousands of people unloaded their life problems on the Sesame Street alumni after he asked “How is everybody doing?” on X.
Not well, it seems.
In this episode of The Quicky we take a look at why Elmo's post sent us all into existential dread and how we can turn that around.

If 2023 was the year of 'quiet luxury', 2024 is the year of 'loud budgeting', which involves openly discussing financial decisions and constraints and feeling proud to say no to spending non-essential money.
No longer are we putting ourselves into debt for things we can't afford. Takeout, coffees, food delivery services and streaming are just some of the things Aussies are willing to go without to pinch a few pennies.
In this episode, we investigate whether this new way of handling your finances can really help you get there with more in your pocket.
